    6.7L Gear case oil leak

In the video Grumpy8811 posted, the mistake that guy made was not getting the gear hot enough and not having a toaster oven right by the truck, so installation is quick. Looking on another forum the guy says the gear had to be heated to 450-500 degrees (350 degrees didn't work for him) and it...

    6.7L Gear case oil leak

I have looked on another forum and seen just what has to be done. The cam gear needs to be heated for removal and installation. I figured as much. Kind a like replacing a ring gear on a flywheel. I'll watch your video also. Thanks for your help.

    6.7L Gear case oil leak

I have removed the fan, belt and idler tensioner. Cleaned the area. Operated the engine and verified that is where the leak is. The leak is getting worse. I can't stand the oil all over. I scrubbed the area with a tooth brush a brake Kleen. I applied some gasket maker hoping it would seal, but...

    6.7L Gear case oil leak

Have a 2016 3500 C&C with 125000 + miles on it. Oil is leaking from the RF lower corner of the gear case. All of the cover bolts are tight. Can the cam gear be pulled off so the gear case can be removed? Or does the cam have to be pulled from the engine to remove the gear case because there is...

    68RFE Issues

To put an end to this (sorry it took so long to get back) and make a short story of it. it was the pressure sensor. We replaced it and the transmission has been working properly for a month now. I'm glad it was this simple and fairly inexpensive.

    68RFE Issues

As stated above, I did check the pressure sensor connections. They are clean, but I did apply dielectric grease. Thanks.

    68RFE Issues

My 2015 Ram 2500 with 68RFE transmission (44000 miles) threw a CEL. Pulled the codes and they are P0933 pressure sensor range performance, P0869 Trans fluid pressure high and a P0935 Hyd pressure circuit high output. ATF looks good. I checked the pressures sensor connection, and it is clean...

“CUMMINS AGREES TO PAY $1.67 BILLION..."

I have thought for a long time that the EPA and CARB use a bate and switch policy. Certify you today (aren't they doing the tests and certifications?) and fine you tomorrow. Emissions are big business! I'm surprised the after market guys like Banks, BD and others haven't been find even though...

    2016 Ram 3500 C&C engine issue

When this happened, it was actually fairly warm, say in the 40's. I'll keep your advice in mind.

    2016 Ram 3500 C&C engine issue

I have been doing a lot of local deliveries over the last 3 days. I have put on about 400 miles. The truck has not missed a beat. Boost has held steady when cruising on the flat (9-11psi) and has increased when pulling hills depending on load as much as 23psi. I let the truck do the work and do...

    2016 Ram 3500 C&C engine issue

I thought about that. Maybe a bad spot in the pedal. Today I have started shutting off the traction control each time I drive the truck to see if that system could be the culprit. Won't be driving it much until after Christmas.

    2016 Ram 3500 C&C engine issue

I'll set my gauges so I can monitor boost. Located in upstate NY, so elevation isn't an issue.

    2016 Ram 3500 C&C engine issue

Maybe the engine isn't quitting, so to speak. but the truck pauses, coasts or whatever you want to call it. Just is not a good feeling. I'd think if it were in the transmission or drivetrain the tach would jump up when it happened.

    2016 Ram 3500 C&C engine issue

I do have a cheaper scanner, but not alpha OBD.
