    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Steering upgrades

Best things I did for mine were 1- 3rd gen adjustable track bar 2- Top Gunz Customs tubular control arms 3- Steering Stabilizer 4- PSC steering box, cost more than any other but is not a rebuild. It is much larger due to larger sector shaft bearing and top bearing too. *Cannot be used with...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Front Driveshaft Loop Kit

Wondering if CAD vs not has anything to do with 8800 gvw vs lighter version front workings?

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Heater grid -which battery?

Not sure what year this started = at 15mph (or was it 1500rpm) grid heater circuit disengages, at least that's what I remembered 99 doing. Obviously once engine up to temp they're not running.

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission 2nd Gen Track bar Rock Auto

My $0.02. From the first tire swap after I got my truck in 05/01 I ran 305/70/16s. When I purchased it it had 75,000 miles and came with Firestone 285s that had very good tread. Around 90k or so the track bar joint had play, I installed a new Moog, which I replaced in less than 8k and 12 months...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission That Dreaded 2nd Gen steering !

I installed the PSC box on mine years back. A tight fit between frame and block due to the box having larger bearings. One of the best improvements to steering I did along with tubular control arms and 3rd gen trackbar conversion.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Removing Power Steering Pump

My experience working with Geno's since mid 2001 is they vet what they consider offering before selling, provide great customer service and have no problem shipping out replacement items if damaged shipping. Highly recommended

    Update

I use hot shots secret additives. Was having intermittent fuel delivery problems. Removed walbro electric pusher and found a piece of bottle protective cover (aluminum) restricting pump inlet. Never know sometimes...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Bad leak steering box 1994

Around 10 years back I went with a PSC box as the original was leaking. I did have the steering stabilizer for many years prior. PSC box was notably larger than OEM due to larger bottom bearing and a top one. It came with spacers that had to be installed between the box and the frame due to...

    No speed/no tach 99

If I'm remembering correctly, on my 99, same thing was happening probably more than 10 years back. Although it didn't make sense someone suggested cleaning the rear axle abs sensor. Doesn't take but a few minutes and if it doesn't work nothing lost.

    In OD RPM up/down

Thanks. I'll take a look in the FSM. So, the "connection point" tells you where on the body/frame the ground is attached? I do have a test light and also a Fluke volt/ohm/amp meter. Just a whole lot confused with auto electric

    In OD RPM up/down

I did look at wiring diagrams in FSM but also said it looks like Greek to me. Perhaps I missed something? Can you guide me to where it shows all grounds? As for fuel sending unit I did replace it sometime ago, forget when? At least it isn't the original.

    In OD RPM up/down

Took truck out today for a 70 mile +/- round trip, 55 or so were highway at 65 mph. There were no RPM fluctuations cruise on or off. At the ½ point I fueled up. Get in start truck and fuel gauge is below E, just like when everything is off, all other gauges are fine. It was at 1 notch above E...

    In OD RPM up/down

It is real = can hear and feel engine fluctuations. Thanks

    In OD RPM up/down

Happened with cruise on "and" although I had to brake (disengaging cruise, but not physically turning cruise off = cruise light still on) to slow down for single lane for a few miles, as I steadied speed fluctuation continued. Understand this fluctuation, a bit hard to explain, is like driving...
