Guess they didn't read the instructions for the recall about the TSB. I didn't get any paperwork telling me about the DPF full info on the overhead console. I hope this doesn't make my mileage worse. I drive this truck in the worst possible conditions of short trips (2 or 3 miles) in town and...
Friend has a 2007 that has an intermittent problem. Sometimes when he starts it up, it runs ok and other times it almost acts like it is in a limp mode. It won't do much more than idle. He gets no MIL and dealer hasn't been much help so I thought I would ask here.
I really wonder why this is the only time they have had a recall on a flash. I have complained to Chrysler about not being informed about flashes and nothing ever happened. The only way I knew about them was from this forum.
Also if this makes my mileage worse, I am going to be very unhappy...
Dealer replaced ecm and I want to know if I now have an ecm that you cannot use a downloader with? Replaced it because the clutch switch wasn't indicating right in the ecm. It still wasn't working after they replaced the ecm per Chrysler. Also replaced both steering wheel switches and the brake...
My cruise control will work initially but when you brake and it disengages it will not resume or if you use it and then stop somewhere and get on the road again it will not resume. Also during use, it has not responded to the decel switch being pushed. It's at the dealership now and they have...
Is the process of regeneration only triggered by driving conditions or is it triggered by information from sensors?
Also is the process varied because of the exhaust temperature i. e. more fuel to increase heat and once it achieves desired temperature fuel is reduced to maintain heat?

While going down the freeway at 65 I noticed that the mileage wasn't increasing and in fact was going down. I punched the reset button and the mileage went down to 11. 2mpg. It continued at this value for about 20 miles and then started climbing up. This seems like a lot of fuel being dumped...
I am totally amazed at the level of knowledge by technicians like Mullenmax. This goes to the old saying about jack of all trades but master of none. I know it took a lot of training to get to that level of knowledge. I wonder how much of it came from the Dodge technical training for these...
The tailpipe on my 2007. 5 diesel is still clean enough that you can still see metal on the inside. It also seems like mine sometimes starts a regeneration and continues until it gets shut down and restarted. I think this is happening because I get on the freeway for about 35 miles and the fuel...
Has anyone tried the TS Performance MP-8 on their 6. 7L pickup? I noticed that in the installation instructions for the MP-8 that they modify the fuel pressure valve and connect to the fuel pressure sensor. They imply on their web site that connecting to the map sensor allows them to modify...
Just got back from a long weekend trip with the 9000 lb travel trailer in tow. Mileage was 9mpg calculated and the overhead said 11mpg. I don't understand how my 2007 truck can get so much worse than my 95 did(12mpg with same trailer). This truck has much more power and better gears.
Also had...
