Price of recently purchased 1 st generation trucks?

Paid $10750 in Sept '01 for my '93 W350 extended cab - had fresh paint, real straight body and excellent interior. No rust at all. I saw some cheaper, but they had been beaten to death. Had 125K on it at purchase . . . Keith

    Ultimate Shop

A couple of things that you might add: 1) shower for cleanup after those really nasty jobs, and 2) if you tow a travel trailer, a black water dump tied into the sewer/septic system . . . Sounds like it will be a great garage!! Keith

Some 1st. Gens. do take 13 qts. for the crankcase

    Color of Fuel Pump?

Not a silly question! My '93 (bought used) has a Cummins replacement yellow/tan pump on it - sticks out like a sore thumb!

    Another One Bites The Dust

Sorry to hear about the death of your Getrag - I had some bad noises coming out of mine last week; after pulling the trans and transfer back I found that the throwout bearing was toast. I did learn a great trick from a heavy line tech here at work. He suggested that I rent a heavy duty trans...

Ok, you guys are getting first shot at this...

Double Bonus! Got the form filled out, then went to the specials - great price on the POD's! Might have to order a set even though I'm not quite ready for them!

    Clutch/Getrag noise

Driving in to work this morning, started hearing a bad bearing sound. It sounds like a throwout bearing to me; the sound changes when I push the clutch pedal down but doesn't go away when I let the pedal up. I'm wondering if I need to look more towards the pilot bearing or input bearing in the...

    Add-a-leaf's? Worth it??

JFitzgerald is correct, the best way to go is the Skyjacker springs - the only downside is the $$$$. When I went looking for front springs for my W350, 2 springs, 2 shocks, bushings, bolts and freight were going to be just under $600. 00. I didn't have the bucks, so I went to American Spring in...

Sorry about the loss of your 1st gen . . . To walk away from an accident like that shows the fortitude of the Big Dodges . . . Glad you're okay :)

    more power

One more injector question . . . Here in Arizona, we have to pass an exhaust opacity test once a year. My truck is stock right now except for a K & N (working on the BHAF project) and it passed by a huge margin. Could some of you guys with the experience give me a little insight on the...
