Same problem for me. Stock Airbox and upgraded turbo I can hardly pull down the Filter minder at 40 psi plus. Everything I have read showed the stock airbox filters the best and gives the cummins a great supply of air up to 500 hp. But still no hard numbers

I have been searching all over and posted on many forums asking about stock muffler and air filter cfm on 03-07 trucks. Havent found anything that is unbiased(i. e air filter numbers from banks etc. ) Anyone?!?

So you never rotated them? I would say close to half of my miles have been pulling over 15000 lbs...

i have done alot of highway driving, but also alot of heavy towing and my generals have seen alot of gravel. Did you all rotate them?

All over a period of just under 2 years... . the 51" donaldson was junked because it blew apart... the only parts i bought were the 5" stack, a few clamps, the 40 donaldson and the small perforated muffler, all pipe and resonator etc were free from my random exhaust pile. I think i have 3...

does any of the exhaust fumes make it in the cab? seems like the y could being underneath the truck?

Those or the bridgestone duravis were going to be my tire choice... . BUT since my generals have 53000 on them and will probably make it to 60-63000... i found a set of slightly used takeoff's from a new dually for 350 bucks... . general's aint the greatest... . but they sure are cheap. Mine...

its sort of a hobby... you should see the pile of random diesel exhaust parts i have, lets see. I went from stock... to no cat stock muffler, then to small perforated muffler, then a 51" donaldson, Then a 5" stack with 51" donaldson, Then 40" donaldson w/ 5" stack, Then 4" stack with 40 ", then...

muffler... and lack of stack. I love playing with different exhaust setups, if you havent noticed. . haha

I put a stock muffler and tailpipe back on my truck this weekend... . pulling 27000 lbs Egt's still didnt go over 1200 with my Smarty Jr. on 40 horse... no seat of the pants difference in power either? Spools up just as well... and its SILENT inside... . kind of nice

What would be the best way to find out? cross reference the replacement to a donaldson?
