CFM 2004.5 Air Filter?

How much CFM does the 2004. 5 diesel OEM air filter flow. I think I saw 800 cfm OEM on the 2007?

I have been searching all over and posted on many forums asking about stock muffler and air filter cfm on 03-07 trucks. Havent found anything that is unbiased(i. e air filter numbers from banks etc. )

Anyone?!?

CFM of OEM air filters-Hard to Find CFMs

The decision to upgrade to an aftermarker is not an easy one. First it is hard to find what the 2004. 5 diesel CFM is. Second it is equally difficult to find out what the aftermarket air filter CFM is!

I am still looking-Maybe a write-in Question for TDR!

Same problem for me. Stock Airbox and upgraded turbo I can hardly pull down the Filter minder at 40 psi plus. Everything I have read showed the stock airbox filters the best and gives the cummins a great supply of air up to 500 hp.

But still no hard numbers

I researched it for 3 months when I did mine I tried to find the CFM and couldn't. I had found an article written by dodge engineers who worked on the air box. The box flows more then enough, it's the air filter where the restriction is found. That's why I put a 6. 7setup in mine. If you do find the CFM let us know. Good luck.

On the filter I got from Genos it was printed on the box or filter itself. I wrote it down but forgot where. It gave a flow at a given pressure drop.
