    Purchasing Filters

Walmart carries factory Chrysler/Cummins oil filter if they would just put them out on the shelf. Dallas Walmarts had them out on the shelf. Couldn't find a single one in Austin. Three months later there were 20 of them in the clearance isle for $7

    New Truck

The bumpers and wheels and tires would be gone the first week... otherwise it looks like a nice truck, good price. A Smarty JR and a good 4" exhaust after you buy some aluminum wheels (Factory 5 spokes are going cheap) and good tires would be a good start on performance improvements

    6.7 Longgivity?!?!?!

I bought a tailgate off of a guy from Lampassas,Tx. It was off his '07 6. 7 Dually which is constantly on the road hauling trailers, horses, etc. Told me it had 500,000 on it. Manual trans with one clutch replacement. Had a '98 with 900,000 on it when he sold it and it supposedly has 1. 2 mil. on...

How many miles on your DPF

Has anybody gutted one of these? I was wondering the work involved since it would leave a "stock look" (all that's required on a Texas State inspection) and I wouldn't have to buy any exhaust (Well, maybe a muffler) I could afford the Smarty then... .

    ANZO rplacement headlights

I went from stock bulbs on a '08 to Phillips Extreme Power... (9008 bulbs) Put one bulb in and compared to other, driving and looking directly at them from 20 ft. Saw approximately 5% to 10% improvement. Maybe they improve light on the older '03-'05 models more. Would return them if I didn't...

    OEM trailer hitch vibration dampner??

The vibration dampener has nothing to do with towing. It just ends up on the hitch. More weight from the hitch may cause enough vibration to warrant use of it. Manufacturers use it to absorb body vibration. You'll see dampeners on the exhaust alot . It's just a steel piece mounted in rubber...

    Potential Truck

Two things I see... Been in Illinois for 3 years (Undercarriage RUST) which is a problem for Dodges and it's been registered as a commercial vehicle for those 3 years. I'd pass.

    Brake Pad/Disc replace suggestions

There's a big mistake,Anti sieze is not a lubricant. It is not intended for lubricating moving parts. I've seen plenty of caliper pins, throwout bearings, etc. not working properly due to the use of anti-sieze as a grease. It cakes up,solidifies. High temp wheel bearing grease is the best thing to...
