I have it on a new Laramie, and I DO NOT LIKE IT. It sounds like some kind of artificial diesel noise in the cab that is real annoying, If Im on a rough road, it has a droneing, thumping, bass sound, it almost sounds like a kid had pulled up beside me with a boom box sometimes. I've even turned...
I had balance issues with the Firestones on a new '14 Laramie, I ordered a new set of Centramatics and that smoothed it out, but still had a vibration that was from something else I guess, that was never resolved. I got it ready to trade in when I ordered a '17, and took them off, and it was...
If somebody wanted to make fake filters, and make them look just like the originals, and expect to sell a lot of them, why would they make the membrane a completely different color ?
The DEF tanks don't use a float type gauge, it's "liniar" whatever that means. I do know that when filled, it will stay at the "Full" mark until it drops to the 60% mark before you will notice the needle start to go down.
I got this from the chat line this morining, "Thank you so much for holding. I am showing that your order is in the scheduling phase of the manufacturing process. The parts required to build the vehicle are being scheduled and as soon as they available and ready, order will be scheduled for...
Ive got a GMC Acadia with a 9 speed, To me it's annoying as hell to drive, because it's constantly shifting, never seems to quit until youre up to speed, The 68 RFE has held up fine for me in three trucks, and less is better I think. I like the low rpm power of the Cummins, without having to...
Ordered a '22 Larmie without sunroof on Aug. 12th, got a vin# three days later. Dealer says all that means is they accepted the order as he sent it in. He thought at the time it would be 12-16 weeks. This morning I found the customer service chat line, gave him the von & vin, he said they are...
Dealer told me there is no grease fitting there, because they couldn't find it. I knew where it was, but they wouldn't let me in the shop to point it out, so I greased it myself....once.
2017 2500, now that the weather is warm, the grid heater "wait to start" comes on every morning on a cold start, even if it's 80 degrees. Dealer says it's out of the basic warranty, and it's not included in the powertrain warranty, so If it's just a sensor or something simple, I will fix that...
They don't use a float type fuel level sensor, it's a "linear" type sensor. The gauge will not come off "Full" until the tank level falls about 40%. In other words with 60% left in the tank, the guage will start measureing from that point down to "E". It's normal, they are just built that way.
I had a '14 with coil springs, but traded it for an air bag '17 Laramie 4x4. The '17 rides quite a bit better than the 14 did with the coils, plus it sits level, no need to raise the front end 2". And, my '14 was one of those with a non-cureable shake/vibration, and I get none of that with the '17.
The SRC or CAT or whatever quit on my '14 in August, at about 45k, no problems till then. They kept it ten days or so, because the part was back ordered. While It was there, I made them a deal on it, and ordered a the identical in a '17, except I went with air bag suspension on the new one, and...
I got a set of Centramatics for my '14 2500 4x4, and that tamed it down quite a bit. When I ordered the '17, I pulled them off before I traded it, and just for the fun of it, I put them on my old '97 with worn out, out of balance tires, and to my surprise, they fit. And it's just a 2wd. When the...
I've always wondered if it might be aerodynamic's at play at highway speeds, causing a "bed flutter". I've driven along side my truck with somebody else driving, and watched the tires & wheels at the speeds where it vibrated, but they seem to be true. The driver could still feel the out of...
