  • are you a person form FASS fuel systems, if you are i just got a fass platinum and in the install book the wiring part number that is in the book does not match what is in the kit the wiring harness has just the one plug for the pump, two other plug,s the fuse block, the relay, and the positive and negative wire's that go to the battery.
if you need the part number for the wire harness please ask!
Give me a shout at the shop if you dont mind....i dont get e-mail notifications on these things....dont even know what it is....

    Dan: Just installed the Fass/Direct
replacment unit along the frame rails near the fuel tank.
The FASS replaced a Carter mounted in the same location.
Pressure seems high 18 1/2 psi at idke and about 18 psa at running speed. IF I USE WFO, I can easily pull the pressure down to 9 psi.

Now the engine is hard to start and I have to crank it much longer to start. Once it starts running it seems to run fine.

Any ideas what may be causing the problem? Oh, by the way the VP44 is only about 3 weeks old!

    Thanks, Dick in Meridian, ID
Im guessing you have the 95 Series FASS with a SN as low as that. If you do, we have the PS-1001 spring that will stick it up in the 16-18 PSI range.
Dan my name is Jimmy Tharpe I have the FASS 150 pump/filter unit SN# 1008, I was wondering if there was a regulator spring upgrade and if so how much. I am looking for a little more pressure. My truck is a 98.5 24 valve the FASS unit was on my truck when i bought it.
