    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) 2001 24V ISB Starting/running problems.

I've already pressurized the fuel tank, no leaks that I can see at all. What do you mean by puller or pusher? It's a front mounted engine, if thats what you mean by puller. I read about unplugging the harness from the VP, then grounding pin 6 and jumping 12 volts to pin 7 and trying to start...

    24V ISB Start/Idling Issues

Hey all, I didnt have any luck in the 2nd gen engine forums, so I'll try here. I have a bus that came into my shop a few days ago. It has a 2001 ISB 5. 9L in it. Origionally, it came in for lack of power, so we did a full service on it, and found the #5 injector line had been worn through...

Hey all, I have a bus that came into my shop a few days ago. It has a 2001 ISB 5. 9L in it. Origionally, it came in for lack of power, so we did a full service on it, and found the #5 injector line had been worn through and was spraying fuel all over the place. Replaced the injector line, and...

    Drove my first 4th Gen...

Thats what I figured. Those DMF's sound like a joke.

    Safe boost levels?

I've got my boost line in the horn right now, but have a cfm+ horn on the way, along with a boost bolt. That reading I was getting was in 6th gear, doing about 80mph. I figured up around 40 the turbo was going to be loosing it's efficiency. Head studs, exhaust manifold, turbo, injectors and a...

    Drove my first 4th Gen...

I know this isn't the 4th Gen page, but, I've got a question pertaining to my truck. Drove my buddys 2011 2500, 6. 7L with the G56, EGR delete, DPF delete, Intake, and H&S programmer. Talk about a MONSTER! I hopped in it, and drove it for 2 days. Shifting was nice and tight, power was...

    Safe boost levels?

I'm guessing anything over the 40-50psi range its about time for head studs, correct? I'm planning on doing them when I do a turbo and injectors. Just wondering if this sounds right... I have stock injectors, stock turbo, 4 inch silverline turbo back, and an A. F. E. stage 2 intake. I'm...

Four Wheel Drive "high or Low" while plowing?

Well, in 4L, your gear ratio is lower, which means lower speeds, and less time between shifts. It's been my experience in plowing, regardless of the truck that I was in, that momentum is a key part to plowing, especially when its wet heavy snow. All of the extra shifting from being in 4L would...

Time for a transmission/transfer case fluid change.

I'll probably just have to order it. We don't have a chebby dealer here. i love it!

Time for a transmission/transfer case fluid change.

So, I can't find penzoil syncromesh trans oil ANYWHERE in my town. Is there any other compatible/comparable trans oils to use in the NV5600 and transfer case? I really don't want to go to dodge and pay out the ***** for it. Thanks! Kevin

    Instslled Autometer's factory match gauges.

They look great at night! Green LED backlit displays, wired into the factory dimmer control. I'll take a night shot next time I'm home. I'm really happy with these gauges.

    Weep Hole?

That driveshaft is a PIA, but the water pump is a Cummins design. If it's OE, i wouldn't be surprised if it was covered in paint. I've ran into that a few times before.

Experienced 5.9 rebuiler input for 04.5

Could do a cylinder leak-down test as well.

The whine could be from your timing gears. If the backlash on the gears is to tight, it'll howl like a mother, too loose, you get gear clatter. I believe the specs for the backlash is . 006 plus or minus . 001. Not for certian though. The blowby might be the rings ot seated. You said after they...
