Ryan,
you are right, the fan clutch is locked up. with the engine off if I try to turn the fan it will only turn when the pulley slips under the belt. When running the fan is fully engaged all the time. if it were electrical would it be locked up running or turned off ? My father looked...
apparently I dont know what I am talking about either ? I only know what I am told about this. My understanding was that there was a bearing in the fan that was thermostatically controlled, and possible another bearing in the electric clutch- if the truck was equipped with the electric clutch...
I hate to rehash this question if its been a hot topic in the past, but I need advice. My thermo bearing or what ever you call it has locked up. The fan is pulling hard all the time and with todays fuel prices I need to fix this, it cost me about 2 mpg. I have a 03 and my understanding is that...
Sorry to hit on a subject that I know has been discussed in the past. But I just need the straight scoop on this. I run the amsoil dual filter bypass on my 03, I like the fact that its a quality unit and I truely believe that my oil stays cleaner. But I have 4 times now had the check gauge...

Thanks !
I just looked that up, it says that the rim width for that tire ( BFG says) should be 8. 5" ? with a section width of just under 12". So is that going to be pushing it a bit on the factory rims ?
Thats intereseting, that tire has a section width of over 10. 5" (I think). I appreciate the feed back. Do you run these tires on your stock 6" rims ? if so do you notice any wear issues or weird handling problems ? Thanks again !
I will say sorry to everyone in advance for bringing this subject up again. But after way too much time searching and reading I have to ask this one more time. I will try to keep this straight forward.
My 03 dually has 4:10's, I never load it up much any more but do pull a enclosed trailer...
