I personally think this is your best bet. I run it on my 06' with a 36" extension. With just the Super Hitch, my tow rating went up to 17000 lbs/ 750 ball weight..... 12000 lbs/ 500 ball weight with the extension on
Since I bought my 06', two of my buddies are ready to trade in there F-350 and Chevy 3500. They're amazed that I can all most out pull them fully load going uphill. Both of them are running Banks systems in them.
For the record... . they laughed at me when I bought my second Ram. After the...
Is there a kit out there to relocate my oil filter to an easier place to change it out. I'd likw to relocate it so I can change filters out faster without having worry about spilling oil all over. My 94' is now my commuter to work, so oil changes are going to be more often now.
Hows it going folks?
I'd like to know where most of you all have placed your trailer brake actualator in the cab. I have the 06' Big Horn 3500 Quad cab auto. I really don't want to mount it so it becomes a shin and knee beater or do any unwanted cutting and drilling to the dash and knee...
Big Congrads on the new truck. I feel your pain on the payments also :--) ..... But I didn't trade my 94' in... ... It would have broken my heart. The trucks my "dog" , you just don't let 'em go.
I just noticed that my 06' 3500 didn't come with a rear sway bar  . Is Dodge not putting them on the rear or is it an option I missed? Do I even need to put one on the truck , being its a DRW?
I own both a 2ND & 3RD gen Dodge..... On my 94', I'm going to replace the hub with manual lock one when its time to replace the front bearings. I just like being able to service the front bearings. Plus with the manual lock hub conversion, you can also get rid of that damn 2 piece passeger axle...
:--) I wish I know before buying my 06' dually. I'm aiming for the same look. Don't worry, you'll get another one..... Maybe the Megacab will finally be a long bed at that time.
I test drove both before deciding on the 3500 quadcab, I noticed no difference. Even if you notice there is a little ride difference, you can always adjust the tire to make the ride smoother when empty. If it was me... ... I'd go with the 3500... . You can never have to much truck :-laf
Thanks for all the advice. I'll most like just go and order the right ones. I've waited a long time for this truck, don't want to void anything yet. Keep an eye out for me, I know I'm going to have alot more posts about my Dodges.
Thanks again folks
I just replace my 94' 2500 4x4 with the 06' 3500 quad cab dually 4x4 Oo. . I bought the 06' for 2 reasons..... 1st I have a Lance 1061 camper that I was carrying with the 94'... 2ND, I got divorce in 05' and there was no one to tell I couldn't have it... LOL. :-laf
To tie the camper down...
I just roled 150k on my 94' 2500 4X4. I know I have 1 bad ball joint & trackbar. Since I have to rebuild the frontend, I want to replace my clutch at this time too. So my question is,is this is a do it yourself do. I've heard that the transmission & tranfercase assembly is on the heavy side. Can...
Its time to rebuild the frontend of my 94' 2500. I need new ball joints & wheel bearings for the drivers side. So if I have to do the drive side, I'm definitely doing the other side. I'm also going to replace the stock tracbar and upgrade the brake system at this time too. I'm looking for advise...
If you dion't have a leather drop cloth, thats what I call it, use some old towel or wool blankets. Make sure you soak them in water to help prevent a fire :--) . Also I would disconnect your trucks batteries.
