    2018 3500 daylight head lights

But this way they turn off automatically. After decades driving cars which do that, I’ve been spoiled, so I’m constantly at risk of leaving them on and flattening the battery. But yes, it is exhausting having to roll the rocker to brighten/dim the dash lights morning and evening ...

    2018 3500 daylight head lights

The black screw top off a 600ml Coke No Sugar bottle fits perfectly over the sensor with a little bit of double-sided tape and looks built-in. My truck thinks it’s been nighttime for almost 4 years now.

    Seriously cracked panhard rod mount

Thanks all. Hoo boy yes. My blood runs cold every time I look at it. Nah. I'm just gonna glue it. ;) Bit of Araldite - she'll be right, mate. But don't worry, I'm not crazy, I'll leave it 24 hours to reach full strength before I drive ...

    Seriously cracked panhard rod mount

Thanks for your responses so far. Chrysler don't permit their vehicles to be exported from the USA and don't support them if you do. I'll contact them, but I expect no assistance. Oh OK, maybe the conversion company did move this. In a standard vehicle, what side does the panhard rod attach...

    Seriously cracked panhard rod mount

Hi all, I'm not a regular contributor but hoping you may be able to help me nonetheless. I’m an Aussie who bought a 2014 Ram 3500 Cummins Aisin Megacab in the US and imported it into Australia through a right hand drive conversion company. I’ve just discovered that the panhard rod mount on my...

    Rear center headrest

Note, on at least some trucks it's a different, smaller button than the one you normally use to adjust height. Yes, three hands are helpful.

Is mirror control reversed (mirrored?) when mirrors flipped up

Thanks Bob. I'll share that with my conversion company. Closest thing I have to a dealer.

    DEF Tank gauge range

Just a note on shelf life - seems it's not just ambient temperature but also exposure to sunlight. Cummins says: "The shelf life of DEF is a function of ambient storage temperature. DEF will degrade over time depending on temperature and exposure to sun light. Expectations for shelf life as...

Is mirror control reversed (mirrored?) when mirrors flipped up

Thanks, that's helpfully precise. (No sarcasm. I think my conversion guy is more getting confused than being deliberately obstructive.) Roger that. If they didn't realise they were being rotated, they'd be 90 degrees out, not 180. Yep, it's for sure a conversion issue. Sigh. Back to the...

Is mirror control reversed (mirrored?) when mirrors flipped up

OK, so I've spoken to the company and he's now confused. So, with apologies for being pedantic, here are my symptoms with particularity: In the folded-down mode, if I press the controller towards the front of the car, the mirror tilts UP. In the flipped-up mode, if I press the controller...

    Thought I'd grown up ...

Until I got this truck I've been driving full time 4wds or front drive VWs for the last 10 years. So we had the first rainy day for some weeks. Roads greasy, quiet evening with no-one around, on my own in the car, glance around .... traction control OFF ....coming off a roundabout ... pedal...

    using exhaust brake

Brocky do you know how you got it to stay on like that? Mine seems to reset every time I switch off, and most others seem to have it that way too. It's not like it's all that exhausting having to push the button each start, but it would be neat to have set-and-forget.

    underhood location for switches

From memory, each switch drives a relay. The Ram BBG or online wiring guide at TechAuthority should tell you the amperage of the relays. Can't check on my iPad sorry. But that will tell you whether you need a separate solenoid. But winches draw heaps - hundreds of amps I think, in which case...
