Attention: TDR Forum Junkies To the point: Click this link and check out the Front Page News story(ies) where we are tracking the introduction of the 2025 Ram HD trucks.
Normally when descending a hill if you apply the brake lightly and hold there is a strategy to downshift and reapply the TC. So a 6th gear would downshift to 5 and apply TC for engine braking. This along with an exhaust brake will slow the vehicle(s) in most situations. BTW this is not new. My...
You could check with a canopy dealer. I would think not, most are year & make specific. Also would you try to match a new truck color to cap color of a cap that may not look right? I traded my 2005 (white color) with the canopy because I was sure it would not look too good on a silver truck even...
I would STRONGLY recommend the Painless products that provide a dedicated and isolated power source. These new multi-plexed vehicles don't tolerate tapping into harness or repurposing wiring for an unintended purpose
That's sounds right to me. Remember MY 2007.5 to 2012 are pre DEF and have a bit of a rep for emission problems and poor fuel economy. This hurts resale. IE my 2005 Ram 2500 got me $27575 against a new 2013 Ram 250 Outdoorsman at 45K in the fall of 2013. That was for an immaculate low miles one...
Too noisy for me. Sounds like my friend's 2004.5 straight piped. One of the things I like about my 2013 is the fact it goes about the tow with out a lot of commotion. No grabbing gears, no tach swing past 4000 RPM to find its power range AND NO EAR SPILTTING DRONE IN THE CAB. That wears on you...
If you are trying to solve the ride of a long TT while towing. There is one and only one solution IMO. That is the Air Safe Hitch. They are about 1200.00 but the difference is astounding. My wire talked about following in the car because of the harshness. The Air Safe is the cure...
Yikes! That seems like a skimpy labor time considering an all new R&P and having to set the backlash and gear pattern etc. If these the AAM diffs are like Dana's they put the pinion depth shim between the large pinion bearing and gear. The Dana's also set the ring gear with shims under the...
If your issues are when towing (?) I assume you have WD hitch and anti-sway (?)There is one and only one solution. The Air Safe Hitch. http://airsafehitch.com/
Check out the videos of towing travel trailers. I had similar issues and read the shock, air bag & spring solutions on a bunch of...
