After messing around with all crap asst. w/ cleaning my afe- I called a diesel shop here in Omaha and they clean and re-oil it for $5 a pop. I can't complain as the filters look like new and I "trust" that they have been re-oiled better than what I could do at home.
2007 5.9 G56. Brilliant Black w/ Toyo 17's rolling with the help of MBRP 5" tback exhaust (Cat is doing me plenty of good in the top of my garage!), AFE Intake, and a Diablo Sport tuner.
You bet I'll get a pic. up tomorrow when I've got good light. You're right about leaking right on the turbo/exhaust. The way I found the leak is on the bottom of the truck where there is a little 1/4 inch x 5 inch gap on the bottom where the transmission and the bell housing bolt up. I think...

I see you are in cali so a cat is going to have to stay. I have an MBRP 5" turbo-back on my 07. It sounds great- low pitch growl. The only drawback is when you are pulling and/or running the freeway at 75-80. The noise is definately noticable. I DO have a muffler in line, but is installed...
Thanks for the replies---- 4. 10 by the sticker on the differential. On the window sticker of my truck is says... . "This truck created especially for Harlan King... " Obviously Harlan didn't want it, but must pull stumps for a living! Ha. Thanks again.
I have an 07 5. 9 w/a 6 spd manual. How do I determine what the gear ratio of my truck is? When running 65-70 it runs about 2200- while my buddies auto 5. 9 runs about 1900. Just curious--- Thanks for your help.
I have an 07 that JUST started leaking what looks like trans fluid on the right side near the bell housing. I read a thread earlier about a loose hose near the turbo, have not tried tightenging that yet. I had a clutch put in exactly 1 year ago- could this leak have anything to do with that?
