Got rid of my 97 for a '17. Totally different truck. my 97 was not very refined. the transmission needed 8k to not even be close to the stock 17, 97 was LOUD. I also went from a slt to a Laramie but I'm 20 years older now.

It was not synthetic. I will be calling them today for sure

Just had my oils and fuel filters changed for the first time on my 2017. Does $450.00 sound like a lot for this?

I have a 97 with around 245,000 miles on it with an 89% dtt torque converter, billet input shaft and servo levers, 3k governor springs, fuel plate, 360 injectors, gauges. asking $5000 or best offer. Needs transfer case(lost high range) and body work as well as drivers seat and drivers interior...

Well I think its time to get rid of my '97. I am making money again and am sick of looking at primer fenders and rust under the doors. Who has the best prices in the country? I will miss that old truck but it has been paid off for a very long time and it is starting to look real bad.

Im doing a leaf spring conversion on my 97 and want to know if I can use the same rear case to go to 4. 10 from 3. 55's. Some sites are saying its a different case and some are not. The reason for this is I can get a ford front axle with 4. 10 for a real good price and may go with a bigger tire.

I thought all ford Dana 60 fronts where HP. Is this not the case? I'll have to look up that article. Do you remember anything else about the article that will help me find it? I looked online last night for info and that one never came up.

Has anyone traded in a high pinion Dana 60 in front to get rid of the component hub setup? I am considering doing this but would like to here what people think. I know there is the conversions out there to get rid of them but I think a hp front is stronger and gets rid of the split front axle...

I agree it might be that but also my voltage regulator is no longer adjustable. It is set at 11 volts no matter where the pot screw is turned to. I think that means its telling the computer there is to much pressure there and going into limp mode.

I just went out to see what it was know and I cant even adjust it. Its at 11v right now no matter what position the pot is in.

Does anyone remember what they set there regulator to on there '97. I am getting 2nd gear starts and am thinking I need to reset the reg. Thanks

I went to plug my plow in for the first time and had no headlights. Does anyone have a schematic for a 97 slt headlight circuit. I am guessing that I should be getting power to the yellow wire when low beams are on but im getting nothing there.
