I changed the oil at 3000 miles in my 09 and didnt reset the OH. I just had the oil change light ding at 9200 miles. I was gonna change it this week anyway. I will reset it this time too. Gonna do my first UOA also.

YES, I read a thread and it showed a pic of the new filter setup. Ity was a top load filter, it looked alot nicer than these older 6. 7s have.

The newer flashes have seemed to help out ALOT !! I havent been reading too many problems with the turbos or exhaust lately. My 09 has only @7000 miles on it though and so far so good.

yep, squeeze the lil side tab things in and pull it off. Also, they are dorman fittings, i think, not pushloks.

yes, you can install a TEE in the line between the filter housing and the CP3 . This way will help you watch for pressure drops and let you know that your filter is getting dirty.

#6MJIC x 12 x 1-5 ORB,,,, these ones are high flow. I bought a couple of these at a local place but they werent high flow and the openings were very small. I ended up not using them because of the smaller opening they had. IMO I would spend the $$ on these high flow ones. JMHO

Im glad we dont have all these emissions checks here. I just dont see how a fuel pump could cause a problems with an inspection though. Its the engine that creates the pollution not the pump that supplies the fuel ,,right ??? You can hear it but i dont think its too loud. IMO

The first dealer couldnt figure out the knocking and was trying to tell me that they replaced 3 injectors that were bad. I went there and heard it still knocking. They said they were gonna keep looking for...

Ok another flash ? I just got my Smarty this week and it wasnt working right. Bob and Marco said that there was a brand new Flash released and they are fixing their smarty to work with it. Anyone here know about the new flash ??

Yes, i know but i thought he was asking if the AS flash was for the newer 09s. I was just saying that the early 09s were up to the AS flash and I figured any new truck would have that as well. I just dont know if the new bootloader ECM was on the same flash as the early ECMs ,,,, did that make...

You mean the bootloader thing, then no. The AS is the latest flash that the 09 is up to. I have no idea if thats the same one as the 09 with the DOM after 03/04/09 has too. I have a DOM of 10/08 and had AQ , i think. I had them update it to the AS.
