All the good aftermarket 3-pieces are licensed off of the ats... I'm reasonably certain its patented.
See if you can pick up a used ats or similar. I think they're worth it.
This definitely occurs only with the smarty program in the ECU.
1st gear, engine cold/cool, it will miss similar to what blue chip describes as the failing VP44/map sensor situation.
Could this be a marginal MAP sensor and the smarty program is more sensitive to it?

Too descriptive on the ad... I see an ad like that, and I know the seller is asking too much. You'll be hard pressed to get more than a grand or so more than whatever they're going for in your local classifieds.

252,000 on mine. Its getting replaced this weekend. Still running, but not running right: rough idle, intermittent miss, hard start (started last sat on two-ish cylinders).
Do I tap the wire from minute one or not ? :-laf
Worked. Its the Edge. Although, the experience is making me want to replace the VP44 as a preventative measure. Can't see how its a bad idea with 252k on it.
Didn't unplug the data connector because I don't have the cap for it, does it have any influence? I can't see how... unless there was...
So no further trouble shooting, yet...
I have:
0237 - Map sensor voltage too low
0602 - ECM Fueling Calibration Error ECM Internal fault condition detected.
Are these usually paired?
The 0237 doesn't worry me, the 0602 does.
I've got an edge comp on it paired with the smarty...
