Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) disconnect Edge Comp for troubleshooting VP issues

Can I simply plug the MAP sensor back in and kill the power supply to the Edge to remove its effects completely?

I would think disconnecting the power supply would do it, but i've never tried it.

Disconect the data link conector as well

Worked. Its the Edge. Although, the experience is making me want to replace the VP44 as a preventative measure. Can't see how its a bad idea with 252k on it.



Didn't unplug the data connector because I don't have the cap for it, does it have any influence? I can't see how... unless there was a short in that portion of the module, I guess.
