When it is cold 30degrees or anything around there with the block heater on or off it takes about 20mins for the truck to blow hot air. The truck has new radiatror, warter pump, thermostat and coolant. Could it be the thermostat or somthing else or is this normal for these big cooling systems.
It does this right around 30-35mph or so 2nd-3rd-2nd and right back to 3rd real quick. Then it works fine and hits overdrive about 45-48 or so. It feals like to me it dosent have enough pressure to hold third or smething
I have changed the fluid and filter. I have not adjusted the bands that was my next step. It is not really slipping it is just not staying in third once it shifts from second. It jumps right back to second and right back to third very fast. It does this very fast. transmission works perfectly fine...
I have a 92 EX cab 4x4 518 and under hard accelleration or when pulling a load it shifts into 3rd and then right back down to second and then it goes right back into third and then it holds the gear Unloaded it almost never does it but loaded it always does it if you are at about half throttle...
I had the same problem and i got a new boster and master cylinder at advanced for $115. 00 blead the brakes but couldln't get the ABS bleed screw out so i cut it out and blead the brakes Man what a huge difference. It will lock up all four no problem.
Thanks everyone for the info the pedal has been hard to push down and the back brakes have been making noise so I think thats the problem I ordered a new boster and master cylinder and new brakes all around. How do you cut off the ABS system?? any instaltions tips would be greatly appreciated
I have a 92 4x4 and the brake light and abs light came on and the petal goes to the floor but the brakes still work how do you tell if you need a new brake boster cause i checked the flulid and the brakes have felt funny for the last 3 months any help would be greatly appreicated
