Yes, that's the panel(s) I'm talking about. You probably won't have much room to work in the inside, put if you use a spray bottle for the Ospho you should be able to get to the interior rust. You don't need to grind it(because you won't see it), just want to convert the rust. It'll be more...
When I test drove the Ram after the Sub puked, I too was and am hooked on the power of the Cummin's, make no mistake. So many stupid things to needlessly fix. IMO
I'm sorry you've had such tough luck w/ your rig. It sucks when things don't work out. Maybe things will level out... ... . when...
[I think my disdain for Dodge (NOT Cummin's) is not without merit comparing it to all the years (10) and miles (476K) my 95 GMC gave me with only a transmission replaced (warranty fix) and a MFS (my dime) and an airbag code (warranty).
I think you should track down your old GMC, buy it back, and...
I will never buy another brand new vehicle especially a Dodge.
This rig was my first Dodge vehicle, I'm basically a Chevy guy(and FJ40 fan). I bought it for the CTD. It has about 24K miles on it and is roughly 3 1/3 yrs old. I bought it new. The dealership upgraded my tie rod/stabilizer...
Take the tail gate off, and remove inside access panels. Spray inside and outside w/phosphoric acid, such as Ospho(made by Skyco), let dry overnight, then grind rust where accessible. Retreat w/Ospho, let dry, then rinse well w/ water. Let dry. Then cover area w/ MasterSeries Silver Rust Sealer...
Hi John,
I was looking at your link on the fuel filter system, then checked out GDP MK-2 kit w/ big line. Looking on the web for higher flow banjo fittings, I saw Vulcan's site and their fuel filter system VP-Max. Which due you prefer, and should I go to the 1/2" line vs. the 3/8" line. Future...
The pre-heater will most likely have a wiring harness and a relay. The heater power comes from the battery, and the OEM heater in the canister is what trips the relay.
Thanks AH64ID. I did a little more research this morning and reviewed your link. It cleared up most of my questions. I'm...
Like Seafish, I used the Phillips bulbs, as well as updated my fogs to 9005 bulbs w/ adapter from Genos as well as the brite box. I love 'em. Noticeable improvement. We get our fair share of inclement weather up here and these help. I've used silver stars, these are brighter. Check your...
Thanks WoodChuck. I'm going to change over to bilstein blue/yellow shocks while I'm doing this mod. If anybody knows what the compressed length of this shock in comparison to the stockers, please chime in. I'll probably talk to Genos about these shocks as well. Thanks.
I have a 5vr with about 450#s of tongue weight, I don't even add air to the bags (above the normal 10 psi I run) because it doesn't really even may the suspension ride height change.
Thanks for the info Steved. I was thinking of reducing the height of the bump stops by the height of the...
Might also think about using a sound deadener ( E-Dead, Dynamat, B-Quiet, or other brand) directly above the muffler. Helps w/ metal resonance in the cab.
