Nothing works with no tach. Ur going gas to diesel. Most thats done it including me have went 24v diesel to 12v. Had a local guy do it gas to diesel. I sold him all the ecm and wiring from the 24v to make work on the 12v. As scott mentioned. And imo 01 and 02 are easier than 98.5-00. Just swap...

well have aquired through some trading around a horton fan and harness for a 94-98 i think 12v truck but think im missing the temp sender and was wondering if anyone might have the install instructions laying around. i have not been able to find them on the web.
bought a new to me late 01 truck that has the keyless entry with security system. i want to disable the security system and leave the keyless entry. i have pulled the security relay and it changed nothing is there something under the dash that can be unhooked or a fuse i see nothing marked.

got a 97 12v block at the house no crack and parted a 98 12v with 675k and no crack only herd of one 12v with a storm block that cracked but it is the same block as the 24v just the difference in the injection systems . must be the pressures or harmonics of the motor????

well i have a close friend that is a john deere mechanic and is anal about his 01 ho with less than 50k on it. always installs with torque wrench and last time he changed oil had to cut plug off with a cold chisel after the hex stripped with a 6 point socket.
