fist off thank you guy for the help. & huntitall you were rite on the money! it was an air leak from the supply line that runs up the transmission to the pre filter. i had seen a few hair line cracks in it & thought why not replace it. & presto! it primed & ran! & it ran great ta boot! it hasnt run...

i can push it until my arm hurts. just bubbles. ive always listened for the sqeek of the of the o/f valve the it pops rite off after a filter change. it wont build any fuel psi just foam. will a lift pump fail like this? or is a air leak in devloped in the course of a day more likely?

the gauge is reading over 1/4 tank & i have run it until the low fuel lite is on before with no issues. i can rock the truck & hear fuel sloshing in tank. ive got bleeder screw loose & when trying to prime itll just start pushing bubbles out around it.

make sure to find some one with a SWR meter to adjust the antenna once installed. as far as for "good" starter antenna id go with the wilson "lil" will, its great for low power raido's (under 150 watts). Ive got a uniaden 68 thats been tweeked & wilson 1000 and love it.
