My 97 done the same thing, after my first tank of ULSD. I changed the filter and it went away.

You might check your fuel filter. My truck started ticking after tanking up with ULSD. There are some more posts on here about it. ULSD will move all the junk in the fuel system straight to your filter. My filter was BLACK.

Hello I just joined to day. My 97 3500 done the same thing after the first tank of ULSD. I change the fuel filter and it took care of it. If I read right, ULSD will move all the dirt stright to the filter.
