    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) dead pedal problems

finally resolved!!! alright guys here was the solution to my hesitation problem. after a month in the shop and all the frustration from both me and the guys in the shop, they finally found out that the ECM was bad. The problem would only show up when it was cold out, and by the time they...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission steering wheel moan

no it doesn't do it when I hit the brakes and the fluid level is fine but it is the original fluid in it. Possibly I should change the fluid but it feels kind of like it is in the column

got a question for you guys and was wondering if any of you had any similar problems? I'm am getting a moaning sound out of my steering column when I turn one direction. It has been doing it for quite a while and seems to be getting progressively worse. While driving in a parking lot is when I...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) new or used ECM

After several weeks of trouble shooting what seemed to be a temperature related intermittant hesitation we have come to the conclusion of a bad ECM by way of replacing it with another similar trucks ECM. My question is how do you guys feel about a used ECM out of a salvage yard or should I bite...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) Intermittent loss of throttle response

i've had similar problems also and have not had alot of hits on my blog but i found this one while doing a search. is a boost module the MAP sensor? Been real frustrated trieng to figure this one out and beginning to lose faith in the reliability of my pickup. 01 5 speed with edge comp...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) dead pedal problems

yes i have tried the key cycle and still have not got any codes. after unplugging my edge comp i have not have any issues, but it's been only about 200 miles since that. Yes i have thought of the MAP and the IAT sensor both possibly causing a problem. now that the work week will start tomorrow I...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) dead pedal problems

thanks for the input guys, I have been adding the power service additive for jelling and I also added the stanodyne lubricity additive in hopes of lubing things up. My pickup ran great for a week to 10 days and then started to hesitate again. I have thought of the map sensor but do you know if...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) dead pedal problems

OK guys here is the situation that has me baffled, My pickup has 105,00 miles on it and I replaced the VP44 last summer about 8,000 miles ago. Since then I've installed a FASS 150/95 and have got real good pressure now. I went through several stock lift pumps and finally need something more...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) FASS systems

I am going to be ordering a FASS system fo my 01 dodge that i've been having problems with fuel pressure with and i was wondering what is the difference between a 95 series and a 150 series pump? it seems you can get similar flow rates (95gph and 150 gph) in both the 95 series and the 150 series.

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) lift pump voltage?

yes my truck is a 2001 and i'm still running on the stock batteries. thought that might be sneaking up on me soon also. the more i think about it i think i should just replace the the pump with the FASS as soon as possible. going to check the voltage while the motor is running tomorrow and while...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) lift pump voltage?

Thanks for the advice MAV1. I checked the votage with the key turned on and the pump unplugged. I probed the two sockets and got something like 8. 8 volts and then I checked the hot wire on the OE harness to the ground on the battery and got the same thing. I then checked the resistance between...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) lift pump voltage?

I totally agree and am going to install one after christmas, but I believe the FASS plugs into the original wire harness and if i'm not getting the proper voltage for the stock pump. I hate to send only 8. 5 volts to a FASS system and expect it to work 100 percent. Does the FASS plug into the...

    Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) lift pump voltage?

just got back into my pickup and my check ingine light was on. I thought I would tell you guys that while I was diagnosing the low voltage of the lift pump I removed a couple relays under the hood trying to find the one that provided power for the lift pump. After removing several relays that I...
