I meant to say it brought it up to 12 qts. Truck didn't sit long enough after shut down for oil to settle into the pan. The point I'm making is when you overfill the oil will this saturate the CCV?
RAM tech at the dealer, who just attended a Cummins class, was told to drain the oil for a half hour and only fill to 11 1/2 qts. The CCV filter gets clogged and saturated if overfilled. So, just changed my oil and filled to 11 1/2 qts. but oil showed just barely at the tip of the dipstick...
RAM dealer rounded out the nut on mine. Went and bought an aluminum cap that had defective threads and would not tighten on all the way. Returned it to retailer. I think it may be best to stay OEM with the Plastic cap.
Well, back to DEF, the US depends on China for the bulk of its urea supply. Urea is also used in many fertilizers. China has banned the export of urea, the primary ingredient in DEF.
Doesn't the pass. side battery drain faster because it has to throw all those amps to the grid heater? I just replaced my two. Got 4 yrs. 8 mos. out of the AutoZone AGMs. Went with O'Reilly Superstarts AGM. 10% Vet discount. I live in the south.
