    Oil filter - keeps loosening

Always through the fender area, always as tight as I can get by hand. Never any issue. Although at 67 my torque values are decreasing.

    Battery question- group 31, H7, 9A94R???

Just replaced mine , started getting random error messages when starting. I went with Interstate MTX-94/H7 AGM. The blankets fit properly and exact replacement battery, yours might be a different part number(different year). Noticeable difference in starting.

    I hate DEF !!!

I use Peak and found that the rubber vent tends to stick shut from sitting on the shelf. I use a wire or similar to make sure it's open, then no leaks.

    Dog Question

Our 110 lb choc lab didn't want anything to do with the ramp we bought. I received something shipped in a Styrofoam 2' X 2' by about 9 inch tall block. I glued indoor/outdoor carpet on it and now he uses that to get in or out of truck.

    Synthetic or Not?

I use synthetic because I've read that synthetic oils are better at preventing deposits in the turbo charger on shut down.

    Electric brake controller

There's a post about the P3 vs the oem internal on Dodge Cummins Forums. All including me went from P3 to internal and found no need for the P3 anymore. I liked my P3 but found the new truck trailer brake controller works great.

    Oil change

Oops DUH - OH ! I see it's the filter base and not the filter mount in your picture - senior moment. Looks like the trucks are similar and yes, the bag worked great. I did however comment to myself (many times) about the person that decided to put the vertical tubing in the middle of the...

    Oil change

I "ASSUMED" 2015 same as 2014 for oil filter location and orientation. Your picture shows what appears to be a filter mounted horizontally (mine is mounted vertically). Curious as to what vehicle the picture is from.

Let truck sit for 1 hour. Loosen filter through wheel well, slip up a 1 gallon Ziplock freezer bag, unscrew filter , lock bag, pull filter through well opening. clean filter mounting boss and area, place new filter through opening and let sit at angle. Fill to within 1 inch of top using turkey...

    TechAuthority Service Manual CD

I want to get the CD also. Yikes that plastic is expensive to handle and ship, but everything about this truck is. Did you order the separate Diesel Engine Repair CD?
