The cause was determined to be main bearing failure which destroyed the oil pump. The engine was covered under the original vehicle warranty. The settlement warranty extension will not cover this type failure.
My Son's 2015 ED with 26K miles died. A low oil pressure warning was quickly followed by rotating mass failure and a hole in the side of the block. The newly extended warranty is covering a new engine.

Unfortunately this code is not in the DTC Book but it was accompanied by the sudden death warning " This truck will not start after 200 miles unless the DEF system is serviced". Kinda sucks with only 10000 miles on it. Anybody else seen this?

2015 1500 Crew Cab...
I have a 2014 TDI (no SCR) and could care less about the issue. I wish there were more ways to screw the CARB Nazis. We don't have an emissions test for diesels so the state will have to figure out some other way to force me to reprogram.
