I've had my 2015 2wd crew cab ecodiesel since Jan 2015. It now has 21000 miles and besides a DEF related code that turned out to be a short circuit, there have been no issues. We recently logged 2982 miles on a trip from Georgia to New Hampshire/New York and back. Timing was perfect with mild weather and peak leaf color. Mileage has steadily improved with 31.2 mpg for this trip and it used 3 gallons of DEF. My two complaints are one, the crappy Goodyear tires were shot at 20000 miles and have since been replaced with Michelins. What a difference. The second is as a tall person it is still difficult to get into the ideal driving position partially because the brake pedal is too far toward the driver. I plan to remedy that soon.

Thank you for the report. Is that mileage hand calculated or is it the truck's calculations? Also, is that your average for the trip or for the vehicles in service mileage?

My 2014 ecodiesel sold nov. 2015.
Don't remember the exact miles driven but...
2,000+ miles towing 9,300lbs = 10.3 mpg.*
18,000+ miles nontowing mostly highway = 24.3 mpg.
Hand calculated and fuelly app.

That was the average for the entire trip as calculated by the trucks computer. As you can imagine it was 95% highway cruising.

Absolutely agree with you on the GoodYears. DiscountTire was my first stop after getting my truck and I still got some good trade-in on those junkers towards a new set of Defenders. They do make a huge difference. Don't know what trim level you have but I'm 6'4" and don't have any issues with the pedals or getting comfortable. My truck has the power pedals, maybe that's the difference? Glad to hear you're doing fine at 20K miles. I made a post on Friday about being at my dealer for service on my other truck and the manager told me about a guy from south Texas who was headed to Colorado to go hunting with several buddies. His EcoDiesel quit somewhere close enough to Amarillo that they were the dealer who got to handle it. When I asked about how many miles, he told me 23K. When I asked what happened to cause the failure, he said FCA told them not to look at it, but send it in. I wish I would have thought to ask what year the truck was, but I didn't. Hope yours is trouble free for many more miles. Enjoy your travels :)
