Bernie,
On my 1996 which was produced in early 96, the hinge pin kit available didnot fit my hinges.
I had to drill out my hinges on my doors to fit the bushings in the kit.
I bought a #8 torque plate from TST. I have not installed it yet. My trans was rebuilt at 50,000 miles by Dodge. My truck is a regular cab 4x4 with an automatic trans and 4. 10 gears. I am looking for a little more power towing. I started towing 10,000lbs at 267,000 miles. When I tow I try to...
My starter contacts hung up. I thought that the truck sounded funny. So I shut it off. It did not shut off, I opened the hood and pulled the fuel soleniod connector off and the truck shut off. I was lucky, that I knew were to look and could pull the connector off fast. I did restart the truck...
purdytj,
I orginally thought it was the vacuum pump seals, so I replaced them. I still had the leak I then bought a new PSC power steering pump. It fixed the problem.

After experiencing the death wobble ( a rapid bouncing up and down of the front end at 65 mph after hitting a bump on the highway with the wheels turned) I replaced the OEM shocks at 40,000 miles, with Bilsteins. It made all the difference, I have not experienced it since. With 270,000 miles I...
I would like to thank Robert Patton and the staff of the TDR for choosing my truck as the February Feature truck. I feel this is an Honor! Thank you!!! This is just fabulous!!!
sincerely, Rich Szklany
I bought my kit from Geno's Garage. The Gould kit comed with 2 sets of seals. I used 2 quarts of power steering fluid, but that was for the power streering pump only, not the steering box.
Rich
Check behind the fuel tank for a rotted brake line. Also check for any other brake fluid leaks. When you pump up the brakes to bleed them don't let the pedal go to the floor when bleeding.

SLangone,
I bought the stock replacement pump from PSC # SP1390. You will have to switch the resevior or can to the new pump. The better than stock pump is the # SP1490 yes it does need a remote cooler the PSC website says it is for low engine rpm performance. For my application, towing and...
Look at Genos garage, Buy the vacuum pump kit. It includes a DVD and 2 sets of seals.
it does not get any better than that! I redid mine only to find out that the seals were bad on the power steering pump itself. I got a new pump from PSC. New seals and good to go.

The kit from Genos is worth it if you have never done this repair before. It comes with written instructions and a video. Also the man who puts the kit together MR. Gould gives you his phone to give him a call if you have any questions. I also did my vacuum pump, and it still leaked. It turned...
I have a 5 ton Hudson trailer with a 8000# winch. It is powered by an Optima Red top mounted on the trailer. The power to the trailer is tapped and goes to the battery inthe trailer to keepit charged. The winch has to large cables to it. It seems to operate alright. I keep the trailer plugged in...
Geno's Garage is fabulous! They help to keep our trucks running. It beats trying to deal with some of the larger chain Auto stores. Geno's service is great and they have good advice. Plus the sell tried products, If you read about it in the TDR at some point the problem will happen to you...
