I want to upgrade my street tires to some larger offroad ones.
First question is, what is the largest tire size that will fit inside the wheel wells without creating an interference (rubbing) with the well on a non lifted setup...
Next question is, with the 3:54 rear end and a 1800 lb Lance...
Thanks Garrett, sounds like the plan.
Now I'm off to find the fittings to plumb in the boost gauge pressure pickup. I finally managed to remove the large plug right behind the fuel filter, the MAP sensor area (?) (from what I read I'm assuming that's the best source for the pressure (?))...
Just finishing up installing a boost, pyro and transmission gauge in an Autometer A pillar mount.
Now I'm looking for the BEST way to secure the new A pillar since it didn't come with any type of mounting hardware..... any suggestions out there ?
Just bought the basic trio of Autometer gauges and looking at the installation instructions they show the 12v leads just getting connected to the "ignition"...
Where's the best location to tap into it ???
Heavy Duty Custom Coils
I just had National Spring in San Diego custom make me a set of heavy duty coils. They were about 1-2 inches longer than the stock ones as well. I have a 2000 lb Lance cabover camper that made the stock coils sag way down. Now it looks like it has a lift kit in it... ...
I'm getting ready to replace my stock transmission pan with one of the Mag-Hytec units. I figure I needed about 8 quarts of oil to do the job, so I went to the local Dodge dealer and bought it... ... at $10 per quart !!! Holy ripoff Batman... .
Wondering what other oils are available and sources...
Bingo !
Well the search is over .
I bought a Garmin Streetpilot III last night off that Ebay.com site for only $730 brand new in the box...
I only hope they don't come out with a superior model too soon...
I'm pretty sure it will perform active routing on any of the maps you can download...
Address Navigating
I just came back from a Garmin dealer checking out the units again. The newer models WILL allow you to input a street address for "active routing" and will map out the best directions to get there. Pretty neat... I'm leaning towards getting the Garmin Streetpilot III because...
I'm interested in getting one of those Garmin GPS's that will perform "active routing" on city streets. You just put in an address and it tells you which way to go... no more map reading...
I've been looking at the "Streetpilot III", which has been out for almost a year but they're still...
I drove a friend's $100k Mercedes CL500 coupe which has "Bi-Xenon" lighting: both high-beam and low-beam headlights use high intensity discharge bulbs.
Wow ! unbelievable night visibility
Now I want to find a way of installing them on my 98 Dodge Quadcab 4x4 2500, preferably replacing the...
Autometer Gauges
I'm planning on mounting a triple pillar with the the Autometer Z-series gauges (EGT, boost and transmission temp).
Anybody know what the big difference is between their "street series" and the "competition series" probes ???
Are the "competition series" worth another $90 ?
Also...
Oh So Close....
Darn !!!
They just sold their last pair 2 days ago... . and I've been looking for 2 weeks...
Close, but not close enough... .
Any other ideas ??? :(
Still no luck
Thanks guys,
I tried both of those sites. The first one must be a typo, because it's a martial arts website and the second one said they can't get them until the 3rd week in October... that's too late.
We're leaving on our honeymoon in the rig the 1st week in October... .
Any...
I've been looking for some Bilstein BE5-2549 shocks for the front end of my 1998 Dodge 2500 Cummins, but can't find them anywhere. The places I called said they wouldn't be available until sometime in October. I need them now...
Does anybody have any ideas who might have them in stock ?
I...
