Just bought the basic trio of Autometer gauges and looking at the installation instructions they show the 12v leads just getting connected to the "ignition"...

Where's the best location to tap into it ???

Her's what I did...

I used little fuses extend-a-circuit. Available at Autozone. Fuse 5 will dim with the headlight dimmers and 8 is a good one to use for switched power. Close to the pillar too makes it easy.

Thanks Garrett, sounds like the plan.

Now I'm off to find the fittings to plumb in the boost gauge pressure pickup. I finally managed to remove the large plug right behind the fuel filter, the MAP sensor area (?) (from what I read I'm assuming that's the best source for the pressure (?)).

Any ideas where to pickup the fittings for the reduction ? I see you're in San Diego too... .

Piers Diesel.......

They have a bolt to replace one on the intake horn. It's tapped 1/8" for the boost gauge fitting. I heard of some problems putting it on the block. Pulses or something. Not really sure. I tapped my horn so I have all the fittings you need to go that route if you want. They sent mine with the gauge.

E-Mail me and maybe we'll hook up.
