  • I've got a post under "other" category called diagnostic fee. I'd like your input, please check it out.
under the rear seat of the new truck should be a dummy plug to seal the connector after the tailgate is removed. It keeps dirt and moisture from getting into the connector. Another thought would be to purchase another OEM camera and make an extension harness to plug into where the tailgate was removed and fabricate a mount for it at the rear of the camper. When I built my camera system for my 1500 the OEM camera was about $120.00 and the tailgate harness was $30.00. I had to build the harness from the cab to the tailgate connector. I suppose you might find a camera that works, but I figured OEM was best.
Thanks Sag2 for your input to the forum. I have a question. Gonna put a camper on a 2016 cclb dually. Tailgate will be off. I suppose that the backup camera will easily unplug? And do you know of any company making a camera to install on the back of the camper that will plug in where the tailgate camera was unplugged?

    Thank You
    hi sag2,

I've read and respected many of your posts in the print editions of TDR. Your signature indicates you're in the Bay Area, and I'm wondering if you could recommend any mechanics in the Vallejo area. I'm willing to range as far as Fairfield, Walnut Creek, Berkeley, San Rafael or thereabouts. I'm looking to replace fuel injectors in my 2006 5.9L HPCR and add the FASS fuel filter. Any suggestions?

    Thanks,
    Thad Anders

P.S., I've always wondered if your "sag2" moniker has anything to with bicycle racing, as in the sag wagon (SAG = support and gear) which sweeps up riders the peleton leaves behind.
    Good Afternoon ,
Could I get you to send me a build sheet on the 2006 Mega Cab. VIN 6G141782. Thanks in advance.
