I'm hoping not. Just had it freak out last month when I added def fluid and give me the 5 mph speed limit warning, but that went away too. Ive had it through maybe three or four key cycles since it came on so I guess I will see. 10k miles and I'm ready to just delete it already. Thanks for the...
Hey all, I've got an '18 2500 cclb Laramie all stock and the other day the check engine light lit up on my way to work. It's not flashing just steady. Truck appears to be fine, runs just like before the light illuminated. It ran fine the rest of the 40 miles to work and 60 miles back home. I'm...
Ozymandias,
I was more so looking to add an outlet in line with the existing harness. Maybe I'm thinking of something that exists only in my mind. I have seen the trick to switching the fuses to adjust which outlet is always hot. Thanks for the info though.
Thanks for the response Davidc, I'm sure it could be hidden and that might be the route I end up going. I'm going to give it a few days and see if what I'm thinking I saw somewhere turns up. It was essentially like a pigtail extension that you would unplug the wire at a factory connector, plug...
Hey all, another dummy question from me. I was looking to buy a dash cam setup with a stand alone battery for powering the camera in parking mode. The two options are hardwiring with a fuse tap or using a 12v outlet for power. I could have sworn I saw somewhere that there was a kind of harness...
Thanks for all the suggestions guys, I really appreciate them, this forum is a wealth of knowledge that I couldn't even fathom knowing. The problem seems to have sorted itself out. I jumped in it to move it closer to the building and everything functions normally now. Maybe it just needed a...
I drove maybe 3-4 miles and thought the same sag, I stopped put her in park, shut her down, waited maybe a minute or two, then started back up. Still locked. Was still locked when I pulled into work about 15-17 miles and 15 minutes later. I'm really hoping it was just a fluke/glitch and it'll be...
Hey all, wondering if any of you have had this issue before. This is the second time it's happened to me. Remote started the truck this morning, mid 30s temperature wise, started right up, let it run maybe five to ten minutes while I got dressed/work stuff together. Walk out and get in, start...
Too true. Unfortunately it was the truck I wanted and what I wanted was a specific one with particular features. I settled for the granite metallic when I really wanted brilliant black. Although I think the granite will grow on me over time. I just don't want to waste a whole day of work just...
Thanks for the replies guys. I know it's just a tow hook and subject to being chipped. I was more annoyed by the fact that the dealer should have noticed these things before I came up to purchase. I had to point them out to him, and it was just we will get it fixed at some point later. I...
Sag2, that's what I was starting to lean towards. But with a brand new truck, I was hoping I wouldn't have to. With the two paint chips I figured it was just the dealer eating the cost of a little touch up paint and figured they would eat the cost of a new tow hook and the labor. I've just never...
It sounded odd to me too. The other thing that I found odd was that I had a traction control light illuminated when I checked it out before I bought it. Dealer said he would let me take it to dealer closer to me to check it out. Called local dealer and said no problem, we can check it but we...
Hi all,
New to FCA and warranty work so I was wondering if any of you had experienced what I'm looking at. Bought the truck new (111 miles when I drove it off the lot), it had two paint chips in the front bumper and apparently took a rock to the passenger tow hook not long after dealer took...
