My 3500 C&C is due for new tires at 24k. Towing farm trailers short distances, my daily driver to work, and I'm in the mud alot on the farm . was wanting to put something wider that won't be an issue on the dual rear wheels. has the stock LT 235/80 R17 on it now. How wide can I safely go on...
my 08 quad c&C with 9. 5ft steel flatbed, aisin auto, 4x4, 4:10 gears gets hand calculated 15. 1 mpg at 70-75 on the road empty, 9. 9 mpg pulling 13k gooseneck on the road,11. 5 combined with intermittent pulling and 13mpg combined driving if I pull nothing.
I could direct you if you were in Southern Illinois. Might try going to H&S Performance website. I think they have a link to Dealers. could probably just give them a call as well.
used diesel truck prices are really high right now. the newer 6. 7's seem to be trouble free. But if you tow within the weight limits for a hemi, definitley go with the hemi. With the cylinder deactivation, my daughter is getting 20+ mpg on the highway in her 1500, 2010 bighorn with hemi. And...
mine is setup like what you were looking at. 15k on odometer, getting 14. 2 empty and 9. 7 or slighltly better ,hauling 13k. empty that 14. 2mpg is obtained running 75mph at 2,000 rpm and I actually am getting about 14. 5 driving around town empty
My old 96 12valve 3500 would have done no...
Wish I'd seen that bed for my C&C. Fancy!! FYI--
I have 15k on my C&C flatbet with 4. 10 gears, automatic. This past weekend I had my first opportunity to take it on the road empty. 632 miles across Ill, Indiana and Ky with only 5 miles city driving. 75mph all the way except in construction...
Just got to ride in a friend's power wagon(only comes in hemi). My 3500 C&C rides like a cadillac compared to it. Unless you are climbing rocks I don't know why a 3/4 ton 4x4 with a diesel wouldn't be a much better choice. Wish you could mount the winch behind the bumper on a diesel like they do...
I too have been waiting on the crd wrangler. just bought a rubicon unlimited in anticipation of trading it on a diesel. However, allpar news suggests once again that the 2. 8L 174 hp/364ftlb diesel may only go to europe.
I live on a farm and have a #2 off road deisel tank for my tractors. I just found out that my local farm service will provide me with a 300/500 or 1000gallon tank for #2 on road deisel (clear color)that I can fill up my CC3500 with. the cost for the delivered fuel is actually 1-2 cents less...
So allpar says the wranglers will have the seisel option by 4th quarter 2010.
hope it will have more power than the 2. 8 liberty engine. and maybe this bodes well for a deisel 1/2 ton truck in the next couple of years.
Well, I just found out my dealer I bought the truck from voided a warranty on a durango with just a cold air intake added. Since dealers may be few and far between in the near future, and the threat of big brother, I better stay stock for awhile.
I have been reading about installing the H&S performance DPF delete kit with xrt tuner for the C&C on another forum. The reports are showing 3-5 MPG improvement with noticeable power gains. H&S clearly states these are for racing/off road use only and not street legal in any state. No...
Allpar news commented on the bakruptcy and said as of Monday, no vehicles will be built, no orders will be completed and vehicles completed but not shipped by Monday 5/4/09 will not be shipped. Allpar says this will primarily affect squad cars and chassis cabs, presumable because of the...
