Thanks Big Papa for the info. And thanks Topzide for that tip. I actually just started doing that same technique with a WiFi smart plug a few weeks ago for the same reason. Be well Gents!

    Block heater watts?

Anybody know what an OEM block heater consumes on a 1995 Ram? Thought it might be as low as 650 watts but that may be on the low side. Thanks. Any different for an ‘03 truck? Steven

motorized folding mirrors for Gen 3 Sport

My buddy is wanting to have foldable motorized mirrors, the same that is on the Gen 4 rigs, for his 2004 SRW 3500. He has to replace one of his mirrors currently and would like this convenience if anybody knows this product exists. His truck currently has the OEM heated/electric mirrors...

    '03 stock exhaust note

Thanks for all your responses. Not looking to extend the length of the exhaust outside the body lines of the truck. This actually is my Dad's truck and I know he would not go for that look or practicality for him. Guess we could look into an AFE muffler and see if that takes cares of it.

    '03 stock exhaust note

Some time ago, I decided to go to an aftermarket 4 inch SS turbo back exhaust system on my '03 CTD 6 speed manual as recommended from my local diesel repair shop due to the fact of the better exhaust note. I will tell you that the out-of-cab exhaust note is wonderful and sounds great. Since this...

    '03 NV5600 trans question

CToney - My Dad has said for years that he is going to continue to drive his truck for many years to come and has no intention of getting rid of it. I am in agreement whole heartedly that if you go the cheap route, you may end up regretting it if it prematurely fails due to cheap parts or work...

    '03 NV5600 trans question

My father's truck is a '03 with 337,000 miles on it. Original NV5600 transmission with a South Bend clutch 120,000 miles ago. Local diesel mechanic shop diagnosed a clutch pedal vibration feel to a worn input shaft on the transmission. My question: For years TDR has endorsed Standard...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission water leaking in the passenger floorboard of cab

My 1995 2500 has almost 286K on the odometer. Had a water leak in the cab just after we purchased it new back in '95. Fixed under warranty. No problems since. Just noticed within the past two weeks that I have had wet/damp carpet on the passenger floorboard under my Husky floor mat. Anybody know...
