I live out in the sticks and nearly all my driving includes at least 30 miles of highway.
I'm going to empty it again today and try to figure it out, along with routing it away from the front. Maybe try the sock-bottle trick.
What a mess it causes. Worst case I'll get a bigger catch can...
I returned the truck to the dealer who sold it to my father in law. He refunded the entire purchase price minus wear and tear.
I did not like the idea of me not being able to legally sell the truck since it was "tampered" with.
Note to deleters... keep all your parts, you may need to...
I spoke with Mike Mullenax at Elder Dodge today, he was very helpful. As discussed earlier, I am getting an error message in the overhead console, along with the ding, ding, but no codes.
It is not a problem to get a Smarty, H&S or whatever tuner and load its program but it would store the...
Harvey,
Thanks for the info, and warning, regarding the illegal setup. I'll be pm'ing Mike for his input on the programming.
As I understand it now, which is subject to change, the truck has some sort of hot tune on it. This thing sounds like a thunderstorm when I get on it and pulls hard all...
Hi Harvey. That exact thought never occurred to me. Thanks for the info.
I did not buy it from the dealer. My elderly father-in-law got suckered into the truck by some dude he went into, and out of, business with. I got it from him.
I choose to make it none of my business what other people...
Jim,
Great info and much appreciated. I just finished up a talk with the dealer who sold the truck. He was helpful. He said that the truck had a small device plugged into the OBDII port that prevents trouble codes and messages, when he sold it and that it stays in the port at all times...

TLane,
Thanks for that input. It would, in my opinion, be nice to get the throttle to do exactly what I am wanting it to do but if this is normal I can live with it.
Jim,
The truck came to me through an unusual, chaotic and unfortunate series of family events, hence the abuse mentioned above...
Thanks Jim,
I do not know what programmer was used on the truck before I got it and do not have one now. From what I understand one must have been used to cancel the regen, cel's and code throws, right? I don't know what a sim looks like but all the electrical connectors I can find are empty...
In addition to the cat full message I also have a problem with the throttle. When I take my foot off the pedal fuel continues to feed for a second or two. For example, if I have the cruise set and step on the clutch the engine revs up before idling down. When I shift, after taking my foot off...
I recently acquired a 2007 2500 QC 4x4 w/6. 7, man trans and 80,000 miles. The egr and dpf deletes appear to have been done correctly and it runs well and is not throwing any codes.
Yesterday it began to beep and is showing the Catalyst Full message. Since I don't have a cat I figured you...
