They're used backups. I was offered a sum I couldn't refuse, my truck is GONE!
All Genuine Denso's.
The BIG contacts were added to the starter and it was run a short time. Good used backup. $100 + the freight.
Same with the alternators. No noises or anything. Just backups. $75 ea plus the...
I seem to remember they switched the wires on the later years.
Or something like that.
I got mine from "rndeper" or something like that a few decades back. They were depot brand.
I lucked into some OEM's brand new in the box. :D
The day before you know you'll need to fill, throw a quart Ball jar & lid in your daily vehicle and drive by the station you will be filling at.
Put a bucks worth in the jar, bring it home, and place it somewhere outdoors over night.
1St thing in the morning, check that jar.
There's your answer.
Did my front end @ 140 something thousand miles, and I really didn't need to being I added grease fittings when it was new.
I don't remember the brand I used for balljoints, but I think I should have gone with the stock units being they lasted THAT long with my mod.

Thanks guys.
I used to have a BUNCH of pictures and knew how to post them.
One of the updates wiped them clean.
I'll see what I can do.
Also forgot, non smoker. :D
I was wasting time on line and ran across some 12V Rams that were for sale.
Price's were 30K and up. They were dealers (I know, I know......)
So, I was considering selling my truck.
Original owner, I ordered it. 155K miles. Every option except heavy rear springs. Everything works.
Inj pump still...
My truck came with the gasket material painted over, because it was originally built/painted tan.
Reason I know this is, under the vibration damper was tan when I did the KDP. :D
I dont really know what it's treated to in the winter. I'd assume to 0 degrees F, but it's been many years since I saw a delivery cert.
We actually have red fuel pumps here, quite unusual for NJ. (-30% $ off on road prices...approx)
A Tractor supply is being built 3 miles from me too!
I run the Diesel Kleen at the "maximum recommended" rate of additive because the truck only gets 5k miles ish a year and it holds 100 gallons.
I also try NOT to fuel up in the winter, so it's typically not winter blend.

The links to the manuals are dead. LONG dead I believe.
Does anyone have up to date links?
Want to share?
My truck is a 1998 12 valve
PS, I'm sorry I couldn't post directly in that thread, I've...
Must be something different then.
My truck's been doing the "surprise! I'm not cranking for you today!"
Batteries are good (12.7V) and lights are bright, etc.
Starter relay is Ok. I bypassed the clutch safety switch.
Starter is.....OK I guess....
Not original but it's a Denso I put new larger...
