    You are right...I think? When I read my owners manual even from running it it says 10,000 miles ? AND the main advantage of synthetic oil as opposed to organic is synthetic oil 'Sticks' to parts as opposed to everything draining into sump after a while as organic oil does. Any dealer...

    Just go autozone or any other shop...they'll tell you for free. (Why did you have service so early- Ram says 1 year or 10k miles...just asking this quickie as I have new 3500 at 4000 miles)

    I have spent my entire life in the chemical R&D field. Just want to share a view from across the pond - because the rest of the world is right - here in US we are obsessed with oil changes. It is an industry led myth. Synthetic oil absolutely does not need changing every six months. Nowhere else...
