    Cummins in the news.

The Fed's may have fined Cummins, but ultimately, we the consumers, will pay it in higher truck prices. I guess the government will use the fine for more EV incentives.

    Revmax Valve body and Alphaobd?

I'm sure some will disagree with me on this, but you are wasting your money paying for a Revmax valve body. The only two issues with the RFE transmission valve bodies have been cross leak and accumulator plate blowout. There are new gaskets now that are plates coated with gasket material that...

    4th Gen. front end vibration

A worn ball joint will act this way but that's really low mileage for one to be bad. An easy way to check is to raise the front end of the truck a couple of inches off the ground. Then take a bar or something and lift under the tire. If the ball joint has play, you'll feel it. I would rotate...

    Lack of heat

My truck runs right at 192 degrees. I just drained my entire cooling system over the weekend and 4 gallons filled it to the correct level at first. I drove the truck about 10 miles, and it held another half-gallon. Today, I drove about an hour and checked it, and it held another half-gallon...

Heater Core and AC Evaporator Core

The source of the antifreeze smell in the cab.

Heater Core and AC Evaporator Core

My truck has 144K miles now. I installed the cabin air filter kit around the 80K mark.

Heater Core and AC Evaporator Core

It was an intimidating job to say the least. Two hours in, the sight of my entire dash laying in my front seat and wondering if this thing would ever run again was a little overwhelming! But in the end, 4 hours later, my truck was back together with heat and no smell of antifreeze in the cab...

Trans jerking from drive to reverse

If you haven't done a transmission service in a while; I would be interested in seeing the valve body accumulator plate at the Rev/Low accumulator. Here's a picture of mine from a few weeks ago. The transmission case kept it from blowing all the way out.

No Exhaust Brake - No other symptoms

Has the EB worked since the actuator was changed? My first thought was the actuator isn't operating at full range or a calibration issue. (I know City's don't require calibration.)

    AGM Battery’s ?

NAPA batteries are EP. I went with their AGM's when I needed new batteries.

    Smelling antifreeze in the cab

I guess it's time for a heater core. Carpet is not wet yet, but the smell of antifreeze is quite strong when running the heat. My truck is 11 years old, so I guess I'm do. My question is, should I spend the extra money for an OEM heater core and evaporator coil? They are quite a bit higher...

    Accumulator Plate Failure

This was the "Low/Reverse" accumulator port that blew out. I never felt a thing in shifting into gear or reverse. My fluid smelled fine and barely enough sediment to write your name in the pan. Maybe I dodged a bullet.

    Accumulator Plate Failure

Yesterday was service day for my truck. Oil and filter, both fuel filters and transmission service with a AusTex rebuilt valve body and a new BD deep pan. When I pulled my VB, I found the furthest back accumulator had pushed the head off of one of the screws and the other had backed almost...

    Front Wheel Brg Hubs

I just went through this as I have a 2013 2500. All things suspension related is 2013 and back. They changed the entire suspension in 2014. I would see if the part number of the wheel bearing that he has matches a 2014 or 2012. If it matches the 2014, it's not the correct bearing. Also...

2017 3500 - replacing heater hoses and fitting, heater core flush

You're supposed to push the two white tabs in and pull out at the same time to release the fitting. Mine was leaking and I had to break it to get it out. I think they go through so many heat cycles that they become brittle. Napa carries them.
