Not true, it can be done and your truck will be very reliable.

I tear mine apart 3-4 times a year. When you’re in the heart of the Rust Belt, things go bad fast.

What does the programming entail? Can Alfa be used to do the programming?

Does anyone have any first hand experience replacing one of these? Researching the interweb you get different answers. Some say it needs to be programmed and some say it doesn’t.

It’s a 2014 3500 G56 truck, but the G56 is no longer with us and replaced with an NV 5600.

Yup, my son’s 5.9 does not have the lip either. I’m thinking it’s just on the 6.7’s, which is where I’m having issues.
