    What Shocks for 3500

As I go from running empty, most of the time, to 3000lbs of pin weight on the rear axle, the adjustability of the Rancho's is nice. It's immediately noticeable when I forget to stiffen them up with the trailer, or forget to back them off running empty. I've nothing but good things to say...

    What Shocks for 3500

I've used Rancho Rs9000's on both my 2010 3500 and my 2016. I like that they are easy to adjust, and they ride much better than the stock shocks. I stiffen the rears up to max when towing the 5th wheel, and back them off to the mid-setting when empty.

    Black trucks

Very cool '60 El Camino! I like these much better than the wild '59s.

    Black trucks

Yep - I would have preferred to not have them, and was somewhat surprised to see them on the truck when it showed up. The emblems are blacked-out, with the red highlight letters you see. Perhaps they made the change when they went to the "sport" option and permitted other colors. I'm not crazy...

    Black trucks

My new 2016 3500, SRW CC LB, Black, Sport package (formerly the black-out package), 3500, most every option.

    cab filter

2010 2500/3500 didn't have one. Unless someone added it - a relatively common mod requiring cutting the air box and using a door from a 1500. Otherwise, none exists. -truckin-on

    extended warranty's??

I bought the Chrysler 7-yr/100K extended warranty on my 2010, and I'd say it's paid for itself many times over. Given the complexity of these trucks now, and the parts and labor costs to repair them, I think you would be nuts to not go for the max warranty you could get. I've had 3 frozen...

Nerf bar recomendations for a 2016?

Curious - Westin mounts to the frame, not the rockers? All the bars I'm familiar with mount to the factory holes in the inner rockers. I had a previous bad experience with the mounting brackets (mild steel) rusting out after a few years in the harsh salt-infested roads of the northeast...

Nerf bar recomendations for a 2016?

OK, a bit of searching and there is still an "all-stainless" bar option. STEELCRAFT 222507P 10-15 DODGE RAM 2500/3500 CREW CAB 3" SIDE BARS ALL Stainless, available through A-zon for ~$240 and Ionic (probably the same manufacturer), same part number: 222507P. The "P" indicates Premium, and...

Nerf bar recomendations for a 2016?

Thanks! I couldn't see how the DEF tank would have anything to do with it either, given how they mount. I may just move the set from my 2010 to the new truck.

Nerf bar recomendations for a 2016?

I have a 2010 CC 3500 that I put NASTA all-stainless nerf bars on. After 6 years of north east snow and salt, they still look great! I just ordered a 2016 CC 3500, with the black appearance package, and intended on buying a new set for the new truck. Unfortunately, come to find out they no...

    MOPAR extended warranty value..?

Extended warranty - buy it! The facts are that factory parts are outrageously expensive, as are dealer labor charges. If you intend to keep it a while, plan on something breaking. There is a chance that the first thing that breaks may cost less than the extended warranty, but for sure the...

    Buyback Program

Yep, that's how it reads. Nothing like rewarding procrastination on repairing a safety defect, eh?

    Buyback Program

According to the settlement, this ONLY applies if you have not had the vehicle repaired under the relevant recall campaign. So, in my case, with a 2010 3500 4x4, I had the tie-rod recall done some time ago, so my vehicle is claimed to be addressed, and not covered under the purchase or incentive...

    Dragging Front Discs?

Yep - had exactly the same problems w/ my 2010 3500 4x4. At about 20k miles, went for new tires, and found I could barely turn both front wheels. Not just dragging, but seriously bound-up, to the point that the truck would nor roll - even on a slight incline! Dealer replaced both calipers...
