I have a 2003 Dodge 2500 with automatic transmission, occasionally there will be a delayed shift waiting until 2500-2600 RPM to shift under partial throttle / fuel pedal.
If I cycle the fuel pedal thru full travel (push fuel pedal to floor momentarily), then the normal shift points are restored...
I had a similar problem with my FASS DDRP lift pump, it died (2500 miles, 8 months old), sent it back to FASS, they retorqued the case bolts to fix the problem.
A bunch of them left the factory with case bolts improperly torqued!!!
I went back to original equipment Carter lift pump and have...

The 2000 quad cab 2500 truck was pulling a steep grade, the last mile the engine temp gage went to 240F (gage pegged?) and the trans temp went to 220F.

Thanks for any help
OEM Pump replaced FASS Pump

To correct problem, I replaced FASS pump with an OEM pump
Thanks for your response!!

The pump ran, but no pressure, it would no even suck fuel of of a full 5 gallon container!
The inlet screen was clean.
FASS DDRP Failed
The FASS DDRP transfer pump less than 1 year old, less than 15k miles failed.
Zero pressure, required inlet screen is clean
I should have left the original pump on the truck
If it ain't broke, don't fix it... ... ... ...
I just changed the fuel filter on my 1999 24V Cummins
I got in truck to prime, the 1st key switch for momentary crank I got 15psi on my transfer pump pressure gauge.
I realized I left water sensor unhooked on filter, reconnected
Now zero pressure at filter when I momentary crank
I have done...
2000 Gen 2 Diesel, 4 Speed Auto Trans 46RE
Between 30 and 50 MPH at cruise, the engine speed will momentarily increase 50 RPM... it may do it once, or repeat 3 or 4 times during slight throttle position (cruise)
I turned off overdrive (4th gear) and still had problem.
Using odometer and key...
