Several weeks ago I noticed a slight rattling noise while in 4wd. Mentioned it to the mechanic and he said it was nothing. After a weekend at the cabin and some snow fall, spending a lot of time in 4wd the rattle has become significantly worse. Also now there is an intermittent whistle/chirping...

Does any one know of a reputable shop in northern delaware or south eastern pennsylvania? any info would help, thanks.

ok, I am going to give the guys a call this week. No i am not holding the clutch in at stops, is there anything else that i could be doing that could cause it to go this fast? thanks

i had my clutch replaced on my 03 not even 15k ago. when i am sitting in neutral without the clutch depressed it makes a rattling noise that goes away when i depress the clutch. it seems to get worse when its at operating temp or after a long trip. i know that the nv5600 has this type of issue...

This can be either an injector problem, or on early 2003 trucks there was a TSB for a clutch knocking noise. In the case of the injector, the problem can be fatal. In the case of the clutch, it's harmless but some find it annoying. The way to tell the difference is the clutch noise disappears...
