I am experiencing intermittent growling and grinding while driving down the road, it seems to be lessened by turning the wheel to the left abruptly, it only lasts a short time but seems to be coming from the drivers side front. Today I took all the wheels off and checked them for obvious signs of rubbing but found nothing, at the same time I checked the drive shaft and all possible points under the hood that could cause this to happen and found nothing. The noise comes quite suddenly lasts for a few seconds then goes away for maybe 150 miles then will return again. The drivers side front wheel bearing seems a little looser than the passenger side but there is no obvious tire wear and I just had a recent wheel alignment were everything was given the OK. Is it possible that a wheel bearing could act this way? Is there something that I am overlooking?
Thanks For Any Help Or Suggestions You May Have
