    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Transmission Problem

Your trans has a check valve on one of the trans cooler lines. It's function is to prevent oil from draining out of the torque converter. You can check this by warming up as you normally with the truck in neutral, not park. That allows the oil to circulate through the transmission. If the...

Need help from spring experts (SAG)

I had the same problem with my 2006. I have the snowplow prep. My new snowway plow weighs 820lbs. It pulled the front down so bad the a-frame on the plow was only about 2. 5" above the ground with the plow in the up position. I put Lorenz's springs on to solve this. 48re converter?

Does anyone know for a fact, if the converter is the same as the 47re. More specifically that the input to stator splines are the same. Or at the least has someone put an older 47re converter in a 48re and had no problems?

Ever hear of running 5W-30 Mobil 1 in the transmission??

Bad idea. It's not the transmission clutches that you have to worry about, its the converter clutch that will have problems. To correct converter chatter problems, dodge came out with the +4 atf. It has friction modifiers specific for their trannsmissions. Best to not try to reinvent things thinking...

    '05 Auto with e-brake?

I have had my o6 with the 48re since the 10th of this month. I installed the e-brake myself. It wasn't technicly challeging, but space is tight under the hood compared to my 95. Instructions are good with plenty of pictures. Plan on spending a full day doing the install. The hardest part is...
