    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Cummins M11

Cooling the 2 stroke detroits are the problem in a bus. The 4 stroke is a lot easer to cool and also gets better fuel economy. It is not about the HP. (Which is ok) but more about the smoke when they fire up when cold, and the oil drips including the air box drains. If I am in a nice RV park...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Engine Shake

This was my thought too but I have had it back to the Trans guy several times and he thinks it is the engine and is sure it is not tork converter shutter. They made several adjustments including spring changes in the valve body that didn’t help. Every one who has looked at it thinks it is in the...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Cummins M11

This is a 40' MCI that will weigh about 36,000# wet. The problem is with how long I can go. It now has an 8V71. I am a Cummins fan and want to repower with same. I will be towing a trailer that will be around 10,000#. I know of a guy who says he installed a 5. 9 and a 6 speed Allison in one and...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Cummins M11

Hi Steven. I am looking to install a cummins in my Bus/Coach and am thinking the M11 might be the way to go. I need dementions to see if it will work. There seems to be a lot of them out there. This is the start of a learning curve about what might work in my bus. Thanks Mitchell.

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Engine Shake

Thanks, Bill. I changed the overflow valve and checked all the U joints to no avail. I am about ready to change the pump. It is hard to drive in trafic this way. I allmost bought a new Ram before I installed my utility box and did all this stuff to it and now I wish I had. Any one have any more...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Engine Shake

Good smooth, quick response when mashing the pedel in nuteral. This is only under light throttle pressure. I can maintain 50 mph in overdrive without the shake. As soon as I increse throttle slightly the shake starts unless I add a lot of throttle. It also doe,s it when I am backing out of the...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Engine Shake

There was no problem at all before the hp. increase. Yes the engine runs smooth with no load. This shake is the same at all speeds. It is allmost like it is a lugging thing but doe's not buck the truck and will be there untill the rpms are high enough you are pushing on the throttle past the...

    Engine/Transmission (1994 - 1998) Engine Shake

Hi All. New to the group. I have a 97 180 hp. (originally) in a 2500 4X4. I had a local shop increase the hp. They installed new injectors, governor springs, heaver exhaust springs (Pac brake) and some other non related things. When I got it back as soon as it went into overdrive it started...
