Oil puddle at inlet of turbo

Oiled air filter, if that’s what you have, will/can coat the intake and sensors with the filter oil causing problems. OEM filter set up has way more capacity than a stock engine could ever use. Personally I’d get rid or the aftermarket filter and reinstall the OEM set up.

    Newbie 12 Valve fuel question

If you only changed the fuel filter and didn’t run it out of fuel, just crack the bleeder screw on the top of the filter housing and pump till it’s solid fuel coming out. If you ran it dry, you will need to crack injector lines while cranking AFTER priming the filter first.

    'Vibration" at stop lights?

Some have mentioned a loose retainer clip by the brake master cylinder under the hood too that will vibrate and transmit sound into the cab.

    Overflowing Fuel at fill-up...

I would think that the installers didn’t tighten the vent tube clamps or that the vent tube may have come off at the top end. The vent tube runs parallel to the fill tube and joins it just below the fill nozzle. You should be able to lay under the trucks filler neck area and look up there with a...

    2014 Duramax

Just a thought, did the CP4 have a check valve and this conversion CP3 not? If they even have one to begin with? Loosing its prime.

    more on counterfeit air filters

It’s been on since October last year, no issues yet and I do heavy towing drawing allot of air/boost. My average fuel economy yesterday was 6.3mpg/37L-100km driving for 3 hours straight into a harsh headwind at 30,000 lbs with the boat on top of the truck and 33’ toyhauler behind. That scoop is...

    more on counterfeit air filters

My 23 had lots of bugs and bigger debris in the air box compared to previous trucks so I started investigating. I always add an aluminum screen over the from if the rads coolers and on this truck, I pulled the air intake cover off and covered it too. Solved the garbage in the air box issue. Just...

    2WD Front Coil Springs

If your front end has sagged the amount that the spacers will lift it, no shock changes needed. Your just achieving stock height back which is where the shocks were designed to ride at.

My 2022 tradesman has the trailer mode I think.

If your truck has the “trailer tire pressure monitoring “ option, yes. You can get the sensors at the dealership. Or go with an aftermarket one, Geno’s had one that I bought years ago. I’d assume they still sell them. If your truck has the option you will see it scrolling through the instrument...

Engine rotations (Cranking) to start has doubled since fuel filter change.

My 23 had an update a few months ago and it definitely improved by shortening the crank times.

    4500 as truck camper mobile

If not upgrading to any heavier campers, 3500 would be good for that Bigfoot.

    Using battery minder or charger?

-30 to -48 for four days was part of it. 2A wasn’t getting anywhere at topping up the batteries. Put a 10A on then, 3-4 hours fully charged and maintaining.

    Using battery minder or charger?

I have a 2A NOCO under the hood of my 3500 and it’s not enough. I have a 10A one that is going to go in its place. I also have a 4 channel 2A one mounted on a shelf in my garage that I maintain 13 batteries through winter with that come out of quads, mowers, tractors, boat and RV’s. I just...

    Cb and Ham radios

Here’s a few ideas of how I’ve mounted my GMRS radio in mine. Antenna’s mounted by the hood. The radio unit itself is mounted under the passenger front seat. I mounted an amplified speaker in the drivers footwell just far enough forward that the seat nor my leg ever touch it. This keeps the...
