Ever do anything stupid like this?

My Dad's old sheep dog has the rest of our family beat. Dad used to tie him in the back of his old Nissan PU and take him up to the hills near our house to chase anything that moved. Dad would leave the tailgate down as it was only a mile or two drive up a hill past all the neighbors. Dog...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Royal Purple

Allan, I've used RP in several cars, aircooled, gas, diesel, boat motors, lawn mowers, you name it. Never had an issue with any of those engines although the aircooled (porsche) leaked a little more than normal. If you don't mind the cost, it's dang good oil. Our 03 4x4 has it in every last...

    A must try test

Red Hammer? Sounds like something you see on "CSI" TV show! I've seen black hammers, chrome and wood hammers, and more than my fair share of flying hammers after I wacked a finger, but I've never seen a red hammer! Obviously I'm not too mentally creative 'cause I thought of my beat up flying...

    Banks PDA wake up?

J, my ottominder PDA does the same thing, I'm on 1. 8 as well. Pain in the arse! One other problem up here in Alaska, when the cab gets cold (45 degrees or less) the PDA refuses to start and stay working until I heat up the cab.

Guns, Bows, Shooting Sports, and Hunting Looking for Deer Rifle Advise

I have heard great things about the 338 Federal cartridge, as effective as a 338 win mag but half the cost per shell and half the kick. If you have the cash, you can get a tikka, sako or similar rifle that weights around five pounds. The trick with the 338 Federal cartridge is a state of the...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Suspension

Bryce, we put Toyo Open Country MT's on our rig after trying the BF Rugged Terrain and the Michellins and we love them! The guy mounting them had never mounted Toyo's before and couldn't believe that he had to remove all the weights from all four rims as the Toyo's didn't need them. I can't...

Pics of new tires - 285/75/17 Toyo OPEN COUNTRY A/T

Unfortunately I've had twenty plus years of experience with the legal system (West Coast-Rather Liberal) and litigators will use anything they possibly can to show that you have a record of faulty decisions. They really don't need to prove 100% that your decision to mount "D" rated was the root...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Suspension

Bryce, I went with the KORE Chase suspension and got it through Marek at DesertProven. From what I have read all three (Kore, Carli and Lorenz) offer a darn good ride. Kore tends to cost the most if you're on a budget. I went with Kore as I live on an island in Alaska with lousy roads, stuff...

Pics of new tires - 285/75/17 Toyo OPEN COUNTRY A/T

Just a quick note regarding "D" versus "E" rated tires, if you've placed "D" rated tires on a vehicle when the manufacturer has recommended "E" tires, and you are involved in an accident, be prepared for the look of great satisfaction from the other driver's lawyer. They love it when you make it...

GDP Power Flo intake horn installed this AM....pics

CLEAN ENGINE? I see some dirt on the brake fluid cap! Somebody is slacking over there Jeff! Seriously now, looks great! Have you noticed any change in the noise level? That thing looks like a fire hose in comparison to the stock intake!

If you had to do all over

I am by no means the world's authority on Dodge or Cummins but I am a rather experienced business person and I base my question on that experience. Why would two companies with so much riding on their reputation decide to replace a known high quality product with a piece of junk? The '03...

    TDK bumpers

Another decent bumper company is Buckstop BUCKSTOP Truckware - Heavy-Duty Winch Bumpers for Dodge Trucks, Vans and SUVs We put them on our 03 and have been very happy with the cost, quality and service. Depending on the weight you may need to upgrade your suspension to handle the front...

    2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission what a wreck!

Uhh Dad, I, uhh, kinda backed into something with the Dodge... I'm ok, but, uhhh, I kinda bent the bumper... ... . Joey says we can fix it but, uhhh, it'll take a little money..... Oh and, uhhhh, we'll need to fix this guy's brick wall too, it kinda fell over..... Sound familiar? Yeah...

2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission wife wants a tdi wv bug. is this a ok car?

I've had at least 8 vw's and never regreted a single one. Parents have an 87 jetta with 200,000 plus miles and keep telling me they'll get another when that one starts giving them trouble. The diesel bugs have a good rep up here and get great mileage. There are still diesel rabbits and rabbit...

Consistent High MPG with one SECRET!!!!

Must be getting old 'cause I do the speed limit and enjoy the trip. I'll admit I get a real laugh watching all the speed freaks cutting each other off, screaming and making hand gestures at each other. Sure, when I stop for lunch the guy that blew by me a half hour earlier is getting his order...

At what point will the $$$ of Diesel Fuel really

I'll keep driving my 3/4 ton until I'm an old fart with no family, even if diesels goes to $10 a gallon. Why? Because of how poorly the vast majority of this country drives and how little our legal system does do enforce traffic rules. Don't get me wrong, I love our Dodge, but I'm a Porsche nut...
