another easy one. took about 20 minutes. i'm a skeptic with regard to "seat of pants 'o' meter" but i think i get better spool up (no guages yet). no power increase but sooner power if that makes sense. installed in anticipation of future upgrades.

no aeronautical engineer here but i think the shape of the inside of this thing (tube) is likely to promote flow as well as or close to any high tech gizmos.

i tried to take pictures for those with clearance issues on the brain. there's more room now than with the stocker.

i found the restiction of the stock horn alarmingly tight.

no pics of new one... ...

i always forget to take pics prior to a project cause i'm too anxious to get it done. it's just a tube. no neck down or anything, just a tube. it's what you're probably picturing it to be.

Hey, killer my bad. when i saw yur pictures i had just woken up. anyway cool pictures. makes me wanna cha ching one right now ... Oo.

Have them send me one I will get it flow tested and post the results, from looking at I am going to guess that with the very sharp bend into the head the #s will not be that impressive. Nothing likes to change direction especialy air and fluids ;)

i hear ya.....

help out? i'm not convinced.

believe it or not, there are more reasons than advertised "MAXIMUM FLOW RATE" that were involved in my choice for an intake horn.

i'm not convinced my choice flows better than all the rest. i am conviced it's a hell of a lot better than the stocker.

i have read ALL the ads and commentary from consumer posts (and a number of your posts btw. it's clear what vendors you prefer, have prefered in the past, how strong your preference, and that this is not the first time you've read the implications here) and i still came to the conclusion after months of consideration what works for me.

please keep it up though. you instigate some good discussion. i have learned from those discussions

honestly, my choice would have been the CFM+, not the AFE it's just plain fugly, if there were no fitment issues for other mods and my concern for how long a "composite" would last... ... even still considering flow bench tests

i do believe that the AFE would perform better on your flow test than any other.

CLEAN ENGINE? I see some dirt on the brake fluid cap! Somebody is slacking over there Jeff!

Seriously now, looks great! Have you noticed any change in the noise level? That thing looks like a fire hose in comparison to the stock intake!

only reason it's clean at all is cause it's new... ... ...

you did just give me a reason to lift the hood tomorrow though.

funny you should mention noise. i haven't posted that info cause i wasn't sure. i think the turbo is slightly louder now. just enough for me to think, "is it louder now or is it just me?"

If you saw all my post you would have seen the one where I posted the CFM flow as well :-laf It did Well.

I know how HVACs intake flowed and it was a smoother arc than the Helman's so I am still wondering how yours works. ;)

HVAC was @ 600 hp at the time. Enjoy your parts, maybe you can make one of our events one of these days... ... ... ... .
